For those interested in doing deliveries for grains. Please collect your funds before delivery except where you have a BG from the company We are in a recession and i have heard stories that touch. Better to have your goods unsold than sold for free 2 Likes |

We welcome the arrival of sesame and dry pepper in trickles, hopefully prices will dip before the end of the month. Sorghum and rice are available in some states as well. Maize should be available in most states by now though prices have started going up As it is, we are already in an over priced market so be extremely careful not to go beyond the entry price range. |

I am compelled at this point to make a cavaet. I am not responsible for losses incurred by actions taken from assumptions made from this thread. Neither am i entitled to any or part of your profit I am also not liable for transactions made via proxy or through contacts i have given out, without expressly informing me before transacting I solely bear responsibility for only transactions or purchase originating via transfers into my account which can be traced and documented I have been fair in all assessment of commodities and price range/timing given and i have often given out probable markets of purchase for intending investors Like indicated earlier, the commodity markets has it's own positives and negatives. There is a price attached to experience which is what i offer and place a premium on. I do not guarantee price increase/time range as the market is dynamic Guarantee is only given on annual investing which has a fixed interest per annum regardless of market indices. |

The commodity storage biz this year is the most challenging in my few years Ib the business. It looks more like the profit this year will be very marginal compared to the last three years. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Tyche(m): 10:00pm On Nov 06, 2016 |
soterslove: Any idea what the price was like same time last year? |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 10:44pm On Nov 07, 2016 |
soterslove: Thanks. Was in Kaduna today and prices were between 18-21k for three different varieties of chilli. Will try to upload later. Think ginger season is also very active so go get yours stored. All pix to be uploaded later |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 10:48pm On Nov 07, 2016 |
Tyche: 13k is fair, was 16k in nasarawa last year. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 10:53pm On Nov 07, 2016 |
Tyche: Some commodities look very strong in the open market. Playing with price differential in diverse markets may help. Sometimes there is a margin which can be turned over conveniently. Maize and soya have been a surprise for me |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by simeontos(m): 11:14am On Nov 08, 2016 |
Olayimikami: I totally agreed with you bro, but what is the meaning of BG? and what other precautions can one take since most of the other i received are LPO and they all promise pay on delivery. Thx |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Tyche(m): 12:12pm On Nov 08, 2016 |
Olayimikami: Spot on as per maize and Soya. Never have an entry price been soo high as what we are witnessing this year. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 12:21pm On Nov 08, 2016 |
simeontos: Bank Guarantee:BG If you have the financial muscles, you can also do delivery before payment. However, most of those clients delay payment, that's if they dont end up swindling you |

Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 7:17am On Nov 12, 2016 |
Let's have a price synergy of commodities in our locality. I believe some of the most volatile are maize and soya for now. Prices for botprices almost at last years exit price and i fear most speculators may find it hard to sell at much higher prices Sesame out but trading @35k a bag, company prices may however drop the prices to 24k-27k from next week |

Olayimikami:Thank you for the good work. What was the exit price for maize and soya last year and what is the price now? And the price of ginger in nasarawa now. Thanks |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 1:42pm On Nov 12, 2016 |
loye80: You are welcome sir. Exit was N130/140 per kg @ for maize, N200/modu in the open market. Those were the high end prices. Soya was N120/140 per kg, N150 per modu in the open market. Ginger is predominantly Kaduna and not nasarawa. Price range is 19k-21k per bag. Approx average weight is 50kg per bag |

Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by henrimoto(m): 8:58am On Nov 13, 2016 |
@Olayimi.. Welldone Bro. Do you know the current price of fresh ginger per bag? secondly, will buying fresh ginger directly from farmers at the farm be of better low price advantage? Thank You. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 12:04pm On Nov 13, 2016 |
henrimoto: Fresh Whole ginger is 7-9k per bag. Farm gate is always cheaper than market price, however you need to understand the scaling ratio. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by henrimoto(m): 9:14pm On Nov 13, 2016 |
Olayimikami:can one bag of fresh whole ginger make up 40kg of split dried ginger? or how many of fresh whole ginger bag will make up 40kg of split dried ginger? Thanks for Sharing knowledge. |
Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 4:43pm On Nov 14, 2016 |
henrimoto: You will definitely required more weight of fresh whole ginger to make up 40kg of split dried ginger. Even if you store up your fresh ginger, it will gradually lose weight from change in surronding temperature Please use moisture content values to determine dry matter ratio. Dried state could also be in stages and of different value |

Re: Agric/grains Commodity Purchase/storage by Olayimikami: 12:27pm On Nov 20, 2016 |
I had earlier suggested a price synergy, but sense most are not willing to be forthcoming with current prices. The following commodities are available currently at fairly okay entry prices 1, Soya beans 2, Maize 3, Rice 4, Sorghum 5, Dry pepper Remember to treat commodities before storage if holding long term Don't store beyond your capacity as it may not be easy to sell without prior experience. |
