I had a similar experience@17 in anambra ,I wanted to go to market with bike,as I saw a parked okada rider I negotiated price with him he told me to enter ,I entered he started d bike Buh wouldn't move he kept looking back.as I was wondering what he is looking at ,a guy approached me telling me DAT he came from Cameroon DAT he is looking for so so n so plaza.Buh coz I have had d stories b4 I knew he was a scammer Buh didn't know d okadaman was with him,i said no n so I told d okada man DAT he should get moving and take me out of there.he started his bike and as we were moving he asked me did I know who d guy was I said yes DAT he is a 419/scammer.the okada man disagreed saying that d guy is a businessman from Cameroon. At DAT very moment i understood all d equations,I knew d okadaman was 1 of dem.den without thinking twice I thrust my hands on d seat and jumped down from d moving motorcycle. I was lucky dia wasn't any moving vehicle approaching.DAT day was lyk nollywood to me.

Smh... to be honest parents need to start teaching their kids 'public etiquette'

Even since I was 6years old when a stranger asks me a question...I never talk

I only affirm or disapprove with head gestures or gesticulate to give directions (make I see which jazz dey work na)

After that any further attempt to say any other thingy I walk away

I've been around scammers b4 n I keep wondering How anyone (even 2 of my siblings have been scammed) falls for their stupid tricks.

That the guy wanted to buy drug is what they normally used initially to lure the victims. On getting there ,they would introduce another thing to the victim. And of course your cousin didn't tell you what they promised him that was making him running up and down, I have been before.

Very true, but I wonder if juju could also be at work here. Or it could just be a pure case of greed.

This sort of thing happened to my brother years ago. The scammers collected all his plumbing equipment.

That boy needs communal upbringing.

It's obvious the aunty alone can't teach him sense.

You people must learn to make use of the powerful laws the creator has place in nature to avoid this type of scenario- your INSTINCTS!. This type of thing will never happen to me.

Just few months ago, I was traveling to Cotonou, unfortunately, without my car and the car I boarded broke down on the way. Every passenger came out and was standing along the road waiting for our driver to fix the car. Soon one fine Toyota Sienna stopped and the driver was asking "where are you people going?" We replied "Cotonou" and about two us who didn't want to wait our driver repair his car entered the Sienna.

Note: Once I' am in such scenario I activate my meta mind. As soon as I entered into that Sienna, in my mind I was like; this could be a kidnapper, cultist, honest helper, thief, e.t.c until he drop me safely.

Half way on the road my co-passenger dropped leaving only me and the driver.

A few minutes later, the driver received a call from a supposed friend who's waiting for him on the way. He need to pick up his friend so we all can continue the journey. After that he initiated a conversation wanting to know me, what happened to our car, where I' am going, e.t.c. And as we began chatting more cordially he received another call from the friend still waiting for him somewhere along the road.

About 30 minutes he said I should excuse him and that he would like to enter somewhere in Badagri to pick up the friend so we can continue. Well, I told him I' am in a haste and can't wait for him to go pick up his friend. I requested he stop me. He asked ''just one minute he's somewhere there'' as he was pointing in front. I told him again I' am in a haste and don't even have one second to waste. Then, he stopped and I dropped.

Well, you may say nothing shows I was in danger. That's because you're not me and you wasn't there. I could read signs of danger ahead and I can tell you for sure that man was on an evil mission. The calls and the dynamics of everything as soon as I entered his car was choreographed and I could read his countenance and body-language clearly, but being the type of person I' am, I know nothing will happen unless he literally wields a gun. As long as he have no gun I will leave him to play out all the tricks he know so I could learn whatever I want and move on.

People... be careful out there.

a female friend of mine encounter them last week, they collected her phones, tell her to go and bring money for the chemical, the girl went straight to her mum shop and took 260k from the drawer, lucky for her she called me on her way, i try to convince her that this people are scammers but she still insisting that they are genuine, I persuade to go with her should incase things went wrong she agreed, we go on different bike , I was holding the money following behind, to my utmost surprise this ppl called her and told him to tell that guy (me) following her to go back if she still interested in the business, by that time the thing don clear for her eyes that those ppl are scammer, the girl is lucky that she is an outspoken type that love to share issues with ppl if not she would have just carry the money give them, is good to have a doubting spirit at times
