Obdk:it's just an expression, they pay like white means they take care of them more than a guy with a white collar job who always has a monthly budget, and if you are older than me, please act it next time, I expect a guy older than me to act matured and give matured responses cos I know how old I am,or you think jumping at every opportunity to use demeaning words on women is macho or shows how much of a man your are? 1 Like |

Nigerians are special people indeed. All of a sudden everyone is now eulogising keke-driving,but tell them to go drive one now instead of waiting around for 'correct' white-collar jobs..problem! ..yet millions are jobless and 'kekes' are everywhere looking for who to drive them. ..@op good one there, but infusing 'girls' blablabla is not necessary. 5 Likes 1 Share |

pembisco:my brother your passion is not tied in one particular place. You can apply you talent, callings, or passion in every career. If u want to enjoy and be fulfild in that ur career, go and make money first and then go back to your passion. Don't be surprise you will discover another passion you never knew. For example, I have ND in business admin and I love the career so much but have discovered another passion in construction which my even enjoying Some years back I ccall it hustling but some years to come, I will call cooperate hustling and can wear suit if I want. Some people go for office work because of pension but now to collect the pension and gratuity from government na war 4 Likes |

A keke driver for more than 2 years will hardly think like a graduate because of his association, the crass nature "razness" of the keke business can overwhelm your Ph.D. it is a completely unskilled job and that is the main reason why the ladies will avoid you, not necessarily about the money because every woman wants her man confident, clean and smooth. The best thing about a career/professional job is refinement of mentality, personal culture and exposure/confidence which is transmittable to your wife and children. However, it all depends on one's aspiration. 5 Likes |

ndcide:my brother people are truly making money. I am a real example though I am not rich but when I compare my life with my pears, I glorify God, though it is not easy. If you want to know about my life story I advice you to load your phone with 100k card and call me because it will be a long story or you can visit me in person if time permit. But believe me my story will shape your life though it never be by my power alone, but God. 1 Like |

onokings:The problem with Nigerian youth is that they so mch into the short run. In the long run, an average keke driver is never better than an average graduate. Now you are making the money, baba diversify. With time, when you start taking up responsibilities: getting married, having kids, moving to a bigger apartment to accommodate your expanding business, performing your responsibilities to ur kids, parents and in-laws, fluctuation in the price of fuel and factors, you will find out you won't even have enough money to maintain the keke. Take a survey of a middle aged family man who is a keke rider, compare him with another who is a bank worker. They are league apart. The more the years, the brighter the future for the bank worker and darker for the keke driver. In the long run, graduates are better off than keke driver. Compare the average personal income of all keke drivers with that of graduates. They aint mate. Out of that 150k how much were u able to save? I have seen a keke driver who made over 7k just one day, I was surprised, but when I stylishly check his account, he doesn't av up to #500 in the account. It is not all about how much you make, but how much you save after meeting all obligations. Don't forget no individual (not corporate bodies) pays tax and levies (extortions) more than the transporters, and keke cannot last beyond 5 years (for those plying on very good roads) and still be in good shape to return even 70k in a month, and the machine costs close to 600k. Meaning, you need to set aside 120k aside every year for depreciation. Do u have provision for that? Imagine setting aside this money every year, then with a family to take care of, a machine to maintain, fuel to buy and taxes to pay. Now you have the money, start playing ur future, cause in the long run, with ur keke, you are not better off than an Effiong working in GT Bank, Uyo. 10 Likes 1 Share |

pocohantas: Just so you known, much of man's struggle is so he can purchase a quality woman's attention/affection, for short term and/or for life. All around the world, in varying degrees, woman is still a commodity. So it PAINS the man's ego immeasurably if a woman mocks him compared to his fellow man 1 Like 1 Share |

Bro be careful when making a statement Op. Remember all these jobs have their seasons, they are times you don't make enough to fuel ur keke. Just enjoy what you're doing and stop showing. Karma is a b!tch you know. |

Lekewatt: That's true bro, same way the keke can be confiscated by law enforcement agents for the slightest reason, especially in Lagos. What am saying is, every line u decide to tow in this Nigeria there are some inherent risks which u must be ready to deal with. As for my initial post, my MD is a testimony. He started as a graduate trainee in the same organization, today he is the MD/CEO, believe if I say no keke rider for 20 years can rise to the pinnacle this man has risen to, I really mean it 1 Like |

OFFICIAL336:your write up shows u are still in the days ''when Ali n Simbi goes tru school and then get a good job in d bank.'' sorry bro, things v changed. Being a graduate doesn't stop u from doing a blue collar job. What I think u should have said is PLANNING. A bank worker dt does not know how to plan with his salary over d years may end up in an ogogoro joint. Baba, riding a keke now as a graduate/noneducated does not mean u will remain a keke rider for ever, if u know what u r doing...pls change ur view towards ds topic, and stop seeing bank job as a superspecial job thanks. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
