Lekewatt:I used bank job because it is one of most let down white collar job. If you had been a bit patient, you would have noticed I made a comparative analysis based on the long run. I was only trying to show in the long run a graduate will be better off than a keke driver. So to make up for this, keke drivers should diversify when the money starts coming. You are talking about a bank worker, am talking about 'on average'. Those are 2 different things. Average keke driver is not better than an average bank worker both in the long run and short run, but few keke drivers can be better off than an average bank worker in the SR but nearly impossible in the LR. Orikinla1:Actually they can make more than that in a month depending on how sound the keke is, but can't have more than that to themselves, talk of saving close to that. |

It is so easy to write that on paper to fool all the ignorant people on nairaland Assumming its assumption are right that means a lot of the keke napep riders are rich and will own Luxury houses and properties. According to its calculation he makes an average of N150,000 per month . That means he saves an average of N5000 per day for 30 days including saturday and sunday. The N5000 does not include fuel and other overhead cost like park ticket, police fee, maintenance cost etc and beside he will feed himself and probably give the wife something . I think I understand him he is just using that to motivate himself . The average he can see is 2,500 perday after expenses. Which is equally a good source of revenue. |

Danfo and molue drivers earn more money than some bank managers but they squander it on frivolities like booze, sex and baba ijebu lotto. Poverty is a thing of the mind. 4 Likes |

Ategberoson:Hello, I advise you buy the TVS model, it should be around 550 - 600k. You can go with a guarantor and promise the seller that you'll pay him the balance within 2 months. Don't be like me, I wasted five years looking for a job. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Dont get me wrong, I didn't say I save abt 150k, I make abt 150k monthly. Of course I do expenses, I pay house rent, I feed but I make sure I save exactly 60k monthly. That's about 1.5mil in 2years. |

The interesting thing about having your own business or handwork/hustle is that you determine when to and when not to work. And most of all, I think contentment matters a lot. Some people work in big companies, earn good salary but are not happy because their job is either taking too much of their time or stressing them out. Meanwhile we have people who do business, make moderate money and are reasonably ok and don't suffer any stress. E no easy to wake up early morning around 4 am to rush to work and get home around 10/11pm and keep repeating the same damn thing for 5 days in a week some even do 7 days a week. But then everybody cannot go into business. Some will work, while others will do business. You just have to pray for God's direction on what to do. 3 Likes |
