Fear God and keep His commandment. This is the whole duty of man. Ecc 12:13.

Let me break it down. I used to smoke and drink in the past but I stopped not because it was easy but because I love and respect my wife and won't want to do anything that will hurt her by smoking. At the long run, I am doing myself a great favour morally.

If you fear and respect God, you will stop anything that is sin( that is against his commandment).

Most of this commandment on the bible has a lot of moral and health benefits yo us. Drink(liver,kidney disease), smoke cigarret( lungs disease), fornication and adultery(std,Aids,unwanted pregnancy) etc.

When pple see this xters in you, they want to emulate your life style and you are bringing pple to the fold( bearing fruits)

In conclusion like I tell pple, LIVE LIFE BUT ACKNOWLEDGE GOD

If all Christians can bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, we can experience Heaven while on earth. There is too much desire for the gift of the Holy Spirit today than the Fruits. People want to manifest for the kingdom without first being ruled by the kingdom. You can have the gifts and go to hell (many received the gifts while in premature repentance), but if you bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit Heaven is sure. Am not saying Gifts are not good; they are good.

3-Baptism of the Holy Spirit
4-Abiding in the Word of God

God changeth not, you are the one that needs a change, until the totality of your being is transform to Christ nature and you abide in the word of God you start bearing fruit of the Holy Spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit Who dwell in you. it may not be easy but keep your focus on the Master Jesus Christ.

what it means to bear fruit is that now that you know Christ and you have choose to follow and obey his commandments you need to go out and speak to people concerning Christ making them realise they need to live the life of Christ.
Invariably it means you need to win souls for God and depopulate the kingdom of darkness then your reward is waiting for you in Heaven and on earth as well.

Bearing fruit is different from soul winning. The book of Galatians tells us about the fruits of the Spirit. I would use an analogy that would be easy to understand: just as intimacy with your wife produces the fruit of the womb, intimacy with Christ Jesus our Groom i.e. thinking of him as you would a spouse you are in love with , would effortless result in you bearing fruit. Just as bearing fruit with your natural spouse is not very hard (usually).
Focus on his love for you believe his love for you, demonstrated by his sacrifice.

Be closer To God And Ask For Divine secrets

Be a discipler....an addicted soul winner ( Jn 4: 35-36)

you can only bear fruit if the fruits of the holy spirit is in you. Be diligence in following God. walk with Him. Obey His voice. Delight in His ways. Meditate on His words and fear Him.

Let's get real! I thanks GOD for my current spiritual state. I was able to give up my addition to ganja(indian hemp) 3 years ago when I newly accepted Christ. But sometimes the urge to smoke still comes back so strongly even more than the urge to have sex/fornicate. My saving Grace has being that I realized throughout my years of ganja addition then, whenever I don't smoke for some days, I'll remember my dreams vividly and the things I saw would always happen. Ever since I totally quit, this phenomena has been constant. So, I discovered that everyone is his/her best Pastor/Prophet/Alfa/Herbalist if only we can do away with vices such as sexual immorality, smoking, etc. For brethren here on NL that have totally broken free from these familiars shackles and common captivities, help us by telling us how you permanently freed your mind from entertaining or dwelling on the evil thoughts that leads to sins.

U have to be born again first. Then allow the spirit of God to grow by reading His words and going to church always. Then with the grace you have received, share it with your friends and family members, when you get people to God you had bear fruit. But you must first be in Christ Jesus before you can do that. John 15:1-7. Also He will give His spirit to you that will help you when you allow it to grow, remember John 4:14 to 16 and John 7:37 when you drink of the water you will not be thirsty again but will spring out to become a river for others, meaning to change other lives because you will not be able to contain it but to be led to preaching and there by changing lives.
