His stance shows a lot of Arrogance. Royal title aside, the king looks old enough to be his father. He is extending his hand like he wants to shake his messenger angry

Bunu is a town in Okun land of Kogi state. We are a dialect of Yoruba.

In Yoruba land, you do not stretch ur hands to a King.

I dont think that was an handshake, I mean judging grom the picture its not as if they are just seeing for the first time, all the greetings have been done in the palace already. I want to believe the Governor is only trying to arrange to position proper before a snapshot.

Bunu is not a town but a group of villages/towns that speak the same dialect in Okun land(yoruba speaking people of Kogi state). Bunu is made up of communities like Oke-Bukun, Aiyegunle Igun, Odo-Ape and so many communities I cannot mention here. Each community has its own Oba. The entire Bunu land has the Olubunu.

In a like manner, we have the Owe people that comprise of Kabba town and other villages. The Owe people have the Obaro of Kabba.

Also, the Ijumu people (Iyara , Ekinrin Ade, Aiyetoro Etc) .-Olujumu of Ijumu Land.

The Yagbas also have various communities with a general Oba.

The Oworos too in Lokoja LGA with Olu of Oworo. Various communities also exist.

These are the Okun speaking people in Kogi. We speak Yoruba dialect.

For me its not arrogance, its just abnormal habit. Personally Im averted to intimacy( not nairaland intimacy o)and don't easily bond emotionally, so I go extra miles tontry form the "bond", but I know I always mean well and no disrespect, introvert that I am, I rarely make bodily contact like that, although when I form bonds it cud last for lifetimes, thus its much easier to greet a dear elder with a shake than with a hug, or I'd rada bow a knee. People will usually say I'm arrogant till they get to know me. So maybe the governor is just like that
