[quote author=Ishilove post=53019943]And yet some semi-literate dafts in Port Harcourt went on a street demonstration to celebrate Trump's inauguration. The difference between these protests and the one in PH is 'legitimacy'. These protesters in US and UK have permits to hold a demonstration of this magnitude, but the Biafrans in PH obviously took on laws into their hands and went into the streets to constitute nuisance. We all know how that ended.

There is no justice in this country. We have not finished with the myriad of problems we have and these jobless IPOB youths are adding theirs. If you die for nonsense, you die for nothing.

I don't pity anyone who got shot in PH during their so called 'Trump celebration'.

Am so disappointed this comment came from you.

I'm not ordinarily superstitious but 2016 was such an odd year with all the deaths and then in my personal life coincidences. Coincidences upon coincidences, almost daily, to an extraordinary level and now I cannot help but look back and wonder if 2016 occurrences pointed to some sort of omen potentiating to the ascent of Donald Trump! Of course, last year was just one of those laws of averages thing, right? And yet if supernatural things exists, and if last year was an omen then it must relate to the presidency of the United States of America since the power imbued in the office can impact on the entire world. And if an omen, the deaths of so many great people wouldn't precede the coming of anything wholesome, I don't think... undecided

never took religion all that seriously but, hell, somebody please take a comb to Donald's hair, see if numbers are on his scalp. grin

shocked shocked shocked Wow! How could you bear so much hate in you? You justify people being killed on the streets because they share a different view and refused a permit to exercise their right? And even worse you defend this unfortunate comment?

I will advise you take a break before you self destruct. In saner climes that's what will normally be expected at least but we're in a country where someone can claim to accidentally bomb an IDP camp and nothing happens.

At last we now know even the best democratic nation in the world is not so democratic. Election was not rigged, followed the constitution to the later and you still do not accept the result. Should Trump now abdicate to Hillary? Never! I believe these are bunch of single mothers, gays, and immigrants who feel threatened by Trump presidency. Well I got good news for them. In 2021 they will have another opportunity. They should let it go.

Thank God you said 'saner climes'. I never said Nigeria is a 'sane clime' because in saner climes we won't have every misguided riffraff disrupting social and economic activities in the name of agitation. (Meanwhile the people pushing these boys to constitute nuisance and get themselves killed are safely ensconced with their families in their homes).

In saner climes we will have well equipped, well trained anti-riot policemen to handle the said riffraff, not soldiers who have no business been on the streets in the first place.

Nigeria is nowhere near a 'sane clime'

To what end is this protest? He was democratically elected. Were they asleep during campaign and elections?
Even after the election and prior to inauguration they tried by the so called "recount of electoral votes due to a claimed election hacking" but failed.
So make dem go yansh down joor cool

Majority of the protesters are fan of "abortion" and trust me, this people are instigated by Muslims. Why they never protest against islamist terrorism all this while we have witnessed innocent killing from islamist jihadists?

Did Donald Trump kill someone? No. But they are fighting him because he is going to fight against crime like abortion and terrorism etc. May God protect anyone whose aim is to repair and not to destroy.

Exactly! Let me Add to it. Muslims are there too. No doubt They might have instigated the protest. Americans who are protesting against Trump have forgotten that Security is very very important. And Trump policy will amend this area.

They are not protesting so that he steps down, they are protesting to keep him on his toes and in check, a concept monkeys in Africa (most) cannot understand because they lack the brain power to.

He ran a very controversial campaign, with bad things to say about Hispanic, Blacks, Immigrants, etc, as well as controversial policies such as repeal of Obamacare, so that is what is warranting all these protests, but as I said before, monkeys in Africa (Nigeria especially) will not understand.

It is your fundamental right to protest and make your voice heard, and it is marches like these over decades upon decades (the feminist marches to make women eligible to vote, and own property) the civil rights marches (to give blacks rights and end Jim Crow) etc that has given their society many liberties that they enjoy today.

So there is nothing wrong with the marches

What is this one saying now?

America may still have a Female president in Future, but it is definitely not going to be Hilary Clinton.
She has done her best, and has earned the respect of millions for giving the contest a good fight.

Just so you know, Trump's opinion about what he thinks the laws in terms of Gay, Lesbians, transvestites should be, is totally different from what he would have to do as a president. This is America and not Nigeria where by laws can be drastically changed. You would be surprised that Trump's involvement with the law changes would only make a little difference. This ain't Ninja.

Don't be so stupid and naive. Ask yourself what right are the they fighting for? Go and figure out the reason why this set of sore losers are protesting. You can't say you're fighting for women right while at the same time dissing a fellow woman (Ivanka Trump).

I'm looking forward to the day, and it's coming soon, when celebrities will no longer be celebrated. They will have proved themselves inept and ungracious, ill-informed, unwise and quite boorish. President Trump will leave them eating his dust and wishing they had kept their big, self-important mouths firmly shut.

Like 3years ago, hebdo drew a cartoon of Mohammed in France which led to a protest worldwide and even here in Nigeria, either such protest was legitimate or not no one came out shooting at this people. Either ipob obtain permission to celebrate with Trump or not, is it shooting on them by this administration that is d constitutional punishment for such offense. Please let's all join mouth and condemn evil and not d other way round. Who knows tomorrow??

Cococandy, where you at girl?

I hope you have been supportive in this beautiful movement against se.xism, homophobia, Islamophobia, racism, xenophobia, social inequality and any sort of discrimination as well as against the privatization of the educational and healthcare system and the destruction of our beautiful MOTHER Earth.

And I do hope you have joined this global movement to protect our values of equality, fairness, respect, compassion and the deep conviction that the weak do deserve our protection because generations to come, our daughters and sons, will hold us accountable, blame us or appreciate us for what we have not done or for what we made happen.

Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days of my life. Women around the world showed solidarity. I am equally grateful to all men who were part of it and selflessly supported us because women rights are human rights.
