Please House, does anyone here use Diamond bank for NTB transactions? I submitted a bid at my branch even though I was asked not to specify any rate, I am still yet to hear from dem. I would like to know if anybody on this thread bidded for Feb 15th using Diamond bank and if so, did the person go with the bank rate or specified his/her own rate and what is the outcome?

I did with diamond bank using my own rate(17.15%, 182 days) but yet to be debited. I am not expecting anything because the same thing happened at the 1/2/17 auction; I bidded with the same rate but they didn't submit it

Hi,

I also just debited.
Pls assist to confirm if this is correct.
I requested that my Bank invest Bleep for 364days and they said they will go with their bank bid rate.
They debited me xx,000 this evening, then credited me xx,506, then debitted me some Bank changes of xx.

What rate did they bid for me?
I thought they will debit me only the discounted value of xx,494, and pay me the interest upfront of xx,506 and I will collect 1,000,000 in 364 days.

Pls assist to analysis what happend?

Yea, just yesterday.

#820493.15 is the discount value of your investment. The difference between this and your #1000000 bid is the upfront interest that has been left in your account. At maturity, you get the face value of #1000000. Happy investing! smiley

@feelamong. Please I need your help. I sent my bid for 364 days at my rate of 18.39% with Gtbank and my account officer told me that my bid failed at that rate. Please what do you think about this. Stop rate yesterday was 18.449%. He was saying crab about bank having to make profit and all those stuffs. From all I could get is that, GTB bids at a higher rate and sell to its customers at a lower rate in order to make their own profit off your money. So anything higher than their rate won't be submitted because they don't make money off it. Please any Gtbank debit higher than 17.9% should comment. Thanks

This is interesting. I just got a mail from my account officer at GTB giving me details of my 182 days. I went with bank rate. I noticed that the discount rate is 16.7%.

Please house, I moved my money from GTB to another bank because i didn't want to bid with them, though my bid failed because i went for 18.5% for 364 tenor. But GTB charged me N1 for every 1000 for the transfer. I contacted GT connect and i was told it's meant for account maintenance charge and I was like that used to be COT and to the best of my knowledge the CBN stopped banks from charging COT some months ago and and the guy spoke with said he said that it was CBN that introduced this account maintenance fee too.

Please can someone throw more light on this?..........Because i was charged over 8K for moving money from one bank to another....

Naija Banks are turning to something else o......

Thanks

I can confirm CBN reintroduced COT as "account maintenance fee".
I experienced this in a corporate account in Diamond Bank and was informed on making an inquest.
Terrible how they turn around to reinstitute policies they've cancelled with a new nomenclature.

Is it possible for one to stay 3days after the auction without recieving an alert and his account officer says his bid went through. Went to my bank 2day to know if my bid was successful after I did not hear from by bank however, the account officer i submitted my application to said I should expect my alert today. Experienced members in the house, does it take that long for ones account to be debited if his bid was successful? Considering the fact that people in the house have gotten alert since early morning thursday.

very very possible my dear. Just cool down. you will get debited before mid night. i experience this a lot. i have even waited longer and still got debited following monday. A lot is happening at the background. Maybe network challenge, sorting or the usual delay tactics banks deploy on Fridays to delay transfers from their bank.

My bid with GTB was successful, I went for 18.12% 364 days tenor.

The only issue is that I requested that they should invest my interest paid upfront too but they didn't invest my interest.

Has anybody invested the upfront interest through GTB b4?

I have bidded at my own rate successfully via GTB,and was debited. ..not with their own small rates...

Learn how to call head office with all these banks. ...and let them know you have very apt knowledge of NTB programme. ....Just request you want to speak to Mr Agbale....MD of GTB ....you can even Google his email and send him an email of your problem. .......next time your account officer misses your call...he or she will start panicking. .....I dislike DISHONESTY. ..

@ukay u harsh ooh, u want to get people sacked in this recession.....though their pranks are most times irritating, lets temper justice with mercy, the last time i called customer care about an issue of incompetence, someone lost his job, which i still feel guilty about......please i think their branch managers should be able to call them to order,if that fails then we can go higher.

I don't think he's harsh. Evil thrive in an environment where people tend to do nothing about issues. As for keeping quiet and tampering justice with mercy, I'm not cut out for that BS. My own justice is to fight a just cause and no one will be cheated on. I don't cheat people and it's painful to me when I'm being shortchanged. I don't ignore issues like that. I'll see how this plays out.

Lol. I can relate with how you constantly check every alert with hope that your account has been debited for your tbills investment. Cool down. There is still time till Monday. After that day, you can begin to plan for the next auction because your money will continue to sit in your account.
