fergie retired to attend to his wife lolinness after loosing her only twin sister. Fergus was begged to stay. This is why many of these club don't succeed. You can't eat your cake and have it, so them say. Most of their matches last season were won as a result of midfield solidity spare headed by kante. So, immediately the club cash on him, automatically they cash on their success. Why do u think Barca didn't allow messi leave over the years? Or Madrid and Ronaldo? Chelsea are wining now because of their fantastic midfield battle. Until they recriut new stronger midfielder i don't think thre is anything the ne coach can do.
