sarrki: Sarrki, do you think everybody on Nairaland is an illiterate... Goldman sachs never said it would take Nigeria 5oyears to get out of this recession, in fact it put the timeline of economic recovery around the third quarter of 2017.... And PWc hasn't written any piece on the recession since it commenced.... And guy go and tell Buhari that a certain young man called obama took over America when it was experiencing a recession only second in devastation" to the great depression and reduced the unemployment rate by 25percent in less than one year. 2 Likes |

Jarus:Massive looting went on under him, granted. Were previous administrations before him exempted from massive looting? Did GEJ waste our precious time on blaming past governments on their failure to secure the treasury from looters or did he hit the ground running with clear-cut economic and developmental programmes that yielded positive results in the automotive and rail systems as you pointed out? Obviously, Buhari and APC were more focused on acquisition of power than management of it. No plans whatsoever. The dynamism of the socio-economic system embedded in contemporary democratic government clearly overwhelms Buhari and his anachronistic gang. The long time it took him to constitute his cabinet, run the country on auto-pilot, is another pointer to his level of unpreparedness. Buhari is bestridding a more corrupt Nigeria as we speak with his sanctifying party, the APC. Only time will tell. 2 Likes |

jusRadical: That is why you should support this administration in its fight against corruption and not accept the legalized corruption of the past administration. Fundamentally, Buhari is Nigeria's best president. Others built on the decay in the society but Buhari is more concerned about clearing the decay first. |

TheSunOfMors: More intelligent indeed. A man who signed a bill into law without first going through it. A president who didn't know that another country had severed diplomatic relations with his country until somebody from outside came in to tell him. A man under whose watch billions disappeared monthly. He was simply signing every paper brought before him and now claims that he never knew that that much looting happened under him. Abeg, my friend, don't annoy me this morning. 1 Like |

I am completely scandalised by this ranting from an otherwise intelligent man. Hitherto, I had excused Abati on the grounds that he was merely doing his job trying furtively in defending the Jonathan Admin. With benefit of hindsight, I'm now convinced Abati's mind has been befuddled with filthy lucre. His earlier treatise on the Aso Rock Demons served our purpose of understanding the rapacious assault on Nigeria by Jona and his gangsters better! This current attempt to glamorize the despicable rape on our commonwealth by the ex administration confirms Abati as a willful accomplice to murder. Posterity will not spare you, Mr ABATI! I wonder how or why the Jonathan admin preferred to squander billions on fuel importation instead of building modern refineries, if they didn't have any backdoor benefit? |
