They are. They do it better than any thing else you have.

No Sir, they are not. The Alpha Jet is the Primary trainer of the Nigerian Air Force, they perform a secondary light attack role. the F-7 is Nigeria's primary multi-role aircraft, that is, until the JF-17 replaces/compliments them in that role.

For attacking insurgent forces like BH the alphais better. Does the job at less cost.

Sensitivity To Criticism (S.T.C.): Although people who feel inferior ‘know’ they have shortcomings, they do not like other people to point this out. They tend to perceive any form of criticism, regardless of how sensitively and constructively it is presented, as a
personal attack.

yes it is an affordable option. However, it is not the primary attack aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force.

gringringringringringringringrin, So the Alpha Jet is our main attack aircraft?
Our Jaguars are retired, Our Migs are non operational, Our F-7s are not in sufficient quantity to make them significant as a matter of fact our alpha jets have conducted more sorties than our F-7s that is a fact you can't deny. Lets just wait for the jf-17 then we can boast but now we should be keeping quite giant of Africa indeed cry

We did not use those Jaguars, they were practically useless to the Nigerian Air Force. Jaguars are ground attack aircrafts with no Radar, and we bought 18 of them.

The F-7NI is an upgraded, Multi-role aircraft, we bought 15 of them, although a couple units have been lost to crashes. Which isn't unexpected when you realize the Nigerian Air Force is the most active Air Force south of the Sahara.

The Alpha jets are an affordable option, hence the requirement to apply them more than the F-7.

The problem with some of you Nigeria's is as a result of a low-self esteem and a complete lack of self worth.

Nigerian Security Forces are deployed in 9 African countries besides our own. We are also very well equipped to deal with the security challenges we have faced since the 1960s. We are not a Giant of Africa, because we say so, we are a Giant of Africa because we have consistently proven so. coolcoolcool

I wonder if you ever stand back and think about what you wrote and before you post? I will deliberately ignore everything else because you're trolling and concentrate on this part.

You somehow justify the crash of about 30% of your fighter fleet because your pilots "are most active" in SSA?

This is where derailments start because you pull things out of your behind and expect us to keep quiet. This is now disgusting.

don't shift the argument henry.

does Nigeria possess any modern ground based air defence systems aside rolands, guns, shilka and manpads to counter high altitude targets. which of the SAM batteries do we have?

are the f-7s capable of countering a 10 formation rafael jets say if france decides to play?

that's how you argue objectively.

Your question is of no need. Why compare the F-7 to a rafale??

this right here is the your problem? it's either you lack cognitive or just acting out of your low self esteem?

so which modern aircrafts do we have to counter an air raid of a 4th/5th generation aircraft?

or what SAM batteries or any modern ADS do we have to protect our skies?

read the question again carefuly this time or just keep mute if your light bulb remains dim

this is not a case of lack of self esteem or self worth don't get me wrong I am proud to be a Nigerian but we have to tell ourselves the truth. we are being short changed by our leaders consistently, the amount of money spent on our military should give us a state of the art military that can go head to the head with the likes of Egypt. Alas that is not the case we have the numbers but we certainly are poorly equipped our air force is not reflecting our status I can certainly list five countries in Africa whose airforce have better platforms our tank corps is under armed t55 and t72 come on. our navy is the only arm that has made significant improvement but still yet to reach the giant of Africa status. if you see the type of aircraft that Egypt have you will cry for Nigeria L-39,F-7,Alpha Jet while the big boys are flying f16,rafales let's just hope this government will invest a lot of money into the armed forces
