I am amazed that the simple parable Jesus gave about one being cast into hell with two hands cannot be understood.

Jesus is really not talking about hands literally. He is simply saying your journey to eternal life is worth the sacrifice.

The pleasures of sin will land you in hell. Live right as a Christian. It will certainly cost you something - the momentary pleasures which you will miss for a much better gain.

The parable also let us know hell fire is real. Your unbelief doesn't change the fact. There are overwhelming evidences of the reality of hell in the Bible.
