I read and understood too much of the bible and i became an atheist. 90% of those that are atheist understood the bible too much. Use your brain to understand your bible, then you will be free. That's the problem I didn't say you are a baby in the scripture but you should understand that God is not impressed by how good you are with the scripture, u might be an adult when it comes to the scripture but that doesn't move God because the scriptures you have read were inspires by him he knows them so what makes you think you impress him or he will use you because you are good with the scriptures(he knows them already). I think the problem is that you leaned on your own understanding you refused the Holyspirit to guide you. I didn't plan to to quote a scripture but proverbs 3:5-6 says:Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The truth is the Bible is the only book that can decide to reveal itself to you and also conceal itself from you. So if you read the Bible in an intellectual approach you get nothing.
Try to read the Bible to learn from it not to teach it.
