you're looking at the atheist life from the perspective of your Christian life having never been an atheist yourself, can you see the problem here?

most atheists I know derive their morality from the fact that they can review, reflect and judge an action while leaving out bias as much as possible

for instance, a Christian tries not to steal because his god told him to do so while an atheist thinks about the action itself and knows that the action is wrong due to the fact that he can reflect and learn about the consequences of it

this is why certain religions can blow themselves up in a marketplace cuz "My god told me to do so"

also why George Bush can invade Iraq cuz he's "doing god's work"
