Get your friends host address,and go there with some policemen to make proper investigation.

The only thing fishy is?if your friends host actually gave me friend his ATM for cash withdrawal

...Did your friends host get any debit/withdrawal alert?

If yes...How much and at what time.

Was the ATM also reported missing or stolen?

And for heaven sake why did he switch off your friends phone.

go through your friend's facebook page and try to see if he tagged his lagos based friend on any ofhis pictures

It's complicated though as there's no way u can locate the said friend. Continue to try his number, check his Facebook page if he's been online of recent n also if you get the friend on d phone, get his location in lagos, travel n find out for ursef the situation. Post his pics on social media, make report to the police if it gets to that.

hmmmmmm! na wa oo. my broda my advice to you is to use take the guys mobile number to a police station to get a police report then take it to operator service centre to trace and get the the guys details after that try calling the number from another number and make sure its a woman who is gonna speak with the guy like tying to get him talk always on the phone and make him book an appointment with the guy like visiting him..... u should no the rest, cus that guy should know something, getting him will lead you to your friend.

As you really said he can't leave his phone behind at home going to ATM, you could have asked his host the name of police station he reported the matter.. absconded with someone ATM with the way narrated it I doubt it.. where it make it but difficult, you don't have the host phone number, address and some easier particulas.better still when investigation commence all this can found.. Report to your nearest police station..

I'm living in the far North. i don't even know Lagos. No clues at all. as advised, i'l try and contact some his family numbers.

i understand how worried you could be but i would like you to put some things into consideration. (1) dont judge the guy as being responsible for your friend condition without making appropriate findings. how can you make your findings, (i) first confirm that your frd got to that guys place of which the guy has confirmed it (ii) any other conversation between you and that guy from now henceforth should be recorded if at all he is going to on your frds phone and pick his call.(iii) did you know the guys area in lagos , if you do, go to the nearest police station and find out if its through he has lodge the complain there before as he claimed. then if has has'nt then complain to the police about the case. (1v) then search for the guy through facebook or any other social media. if u didnt find the guy. then use that your friends phone number to download new whatsapp that is if and only if your friend is on whatsapp it would download old conversation. tru that you would get the guy. my little advise though. may God save him

My dear sister that devil is a lier, it is an allegation against your friend.

1) who give out atm card n pin to a guest in less then 1 month if stay

2)how much does he have in his account that could tempt him to run away if really he gave him the card?

3)He have few places to go and am sure he is aware of this hence he it is less possible for him to run

4)Why was he so calm and not accusing you of conspiracy

5)if your friend situation is as you narrated then it is even less likely for him to run with the money

OP, theres a way out. Go to the nearest police station near you to lodge this case.

Request that the police should launch and investigation into the matter and possibly arrest the host.

The police can raise an urgent alarm and get to know the station where the missing person case of your friend was lodged and from there the host details, phone number and address can be gotten.

This has to be done fast, because if the host is reading this, he may act fast and you know the information of the missing person may be wiped off their record at his inducement.

If you have to travel to Lagos fast, please do that.
