sugarcanebaby:
good morning and happy Easter to everyone.
please I need your help. my sin has been stooling since Thursday. though in different variations. initially it was thick and then it became watery and slimy almost after every meal. right now I can't remember the last time I changed a nappy without poo in it. and its giving me cause for concern. its almost like marathon.

he takes cereal and pap which I give him with spoon and I only use the feeding bottle for giving him water which is properly sterilized. initially I was adding tom brown to his pap but stopped when the stooling started. I took him to the hospital yesterday and the did test for him and the result was OK. no infection. I was given ors in sachet to give to him.

I'm just tired and I feel he is losing weight. is there anything I can do. this is someone who only poops in a day. the takes Sma pro, the foreign one as his milk. he is teething because I can see a tooth coming out already. could that be the culprit. he completed his rotavirus immunisation.

za.ynie, alpha.handmaiden, helo.vesme, lifte.dhands,fedd.y27, in short make every mama.

I think he's reacting to one or more of the food you're giving him.
Stop the last meal you just added.
Then again it might be teething....
You have to wait it out.

Kisses to the Lil man.

Sugarcanebaby like mamas zaynie and liftedhands said it might be the food you're giving him.

I noticed my babies start stooling once I start them on friso gold but they take cerelac well.
Give the foods one by one and observe. Then again it might be the teeth. My daughter stooled when she was about to pop her first tooth and it stopped on its own when it came out.
Dunno how that works sha might be coincidence

Powder will make it worse because it is drying.the peeling is caused by dried rashed that is now scaling off.what u need is moisture.
I normally do sheabutter mixed with zinc n castor cream.
It clears within a week
But it reappears cos my daughter sweats alot even under ac and she lies on her back to sleep.

But a mama here said i should get original vaseline blue seal.which i did.
So after it has cleared i use vaseline on her back every night.and wear very light cloth.that way the baseline provides moisture and a barrier to the sweaty cloth n her skin.
So far theres bin an improvement.
The scales r clearing.

U might want to try either the vaseline or the shebutter mixture to clear it.

Maureensylvia coconut oil or shea butter should help! Apply whilst the skin is still damp.

thanks mamas, zaynie and liftedhands. I actually did elimination Method when it started. I was adding soyabean tobhis pap which he tolerated well and cerelac rice and milk cereal. I started with stopping the Tom brown, stopped the sugar in pap in fact I even stopped his multivitamin so I can know the actual culprit but it persisted.

maybe I'll just have to wait it out like zaynie suggested since there is no infection.

I'm grateful mamas

Good morning Mamas. How are we today? Did you hit the beach and have a great time with baby this Easter?

This is the start of Holiday season and this is such a great time to start baby on swimming lessons. Did you know you could use cloth diaper covers for swimming? Honest! Plus swimming is a great mental and physical exercise (wait till your child who never likes eating grabs a bowl of eba and okra soup desperately after their first swim class and Knocks off at 8pm till 7am the next morning! grin). Plus there are educational benefits for swimming (in Nigeria and relating to abroad, you would be surprised to learn of them). It's always best to start them early, 3 months is ideal for a private pool and 6-8 months for a well-maintained public pool in Nigeria. Read more:

I have no idea sis. My son doesn't eat formula at all. I tried to put some Enfamil that I got in the mail in his rice cereal and he kept vomiting the two times I tried. So I stopped it.
But IMO both are good. I was given Enfamil at my pediatrician's office and the hospital I had him, while we got Similac from the hospital he was at for jaundice. So I guess peds will recommend both.

I give ds Enfamil A+ but that's only because it was what he was given at the hospital when he was born so I decided to continue with it. He had constipation once when he was a month old and I thought of changing but his pediatrician advised me not to. It passed and so far ds has been fine with it.
I even have some free samples of Similac and I plan to try them when he is up to 6 months.

I'm currently going through the same thing. I've just decided to accept my fate. In fact I almost cut the hair sef till my stylist told me to leave it be that it will grow back.

But I was told that i I should not stress about it that it will grow back. But till it grows, the advice I got was to always fix weavon or wear wigs as braiding will just make it worse

Glad to hear am not d only one. I have resolved to be doing Didi maybe that will help because I can't carry fixing for long due to heat. Whenever I do weaving, it will be removing from edges too. Let's wait and see how it goes.
If it gets beyond what I can stand,I will cut it again. @Florena how is baby doing?hope by is going well well and
@Jazzyjazz how is baby Ilan , hope he is doing fine.

I can imagine how you mamas feel. I dont joke with my hair anytime I loosen my hair and a little comes out I can even cry. But pregnancy made my hair fuller and longer. My hair was shoulder length before I became pregnant. Just loosened my delivery hair I made december last week and relaxed it and its longer now and still full.

MY doc said no drugs, and if baby is reacting badly during teething, he should be brought to the hospital for assessment and treatment.

I used enfamil for my son he vomited. I was asked to get Similac sensitive something for him he vomited as well. Feddy27 recommend isomil (soybased Similac) and he doesn't vomit it. That's what we have been using. You might want to try soybased milk too.
If I even give him cereal that contains milk like frisogold etc, he vomits it.
Anyways your breastmilk supply is fantastic you no need formula. How are you guys doing?
