No link. It's from a NAF pilot. I already asked him for close range pictures of the MI-35M

What's that device on the right, and what does it do?

Command & Control Center -Nairobi

Functions include -- monitor public spaces, handle incoming emergency calls, and to mobilize the required support resources to handle security issues.

It is equiped with a:
Dispatching Centre (DC) -to mobilise police resources to respond
Data Center - to store and/or process large amount of data
Video Management System for processing video streams,
A face recognition system and an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system --- so far the PRC has led to the recovery of 1,200 stolen vehicles.

That's very Hollywood dope
With the explosive combination of activists and Internet trolls that are always on stand by to lurch on any government project that smells funny(corruption), It better be of the hollywood-ish type ...

Initial cost was $165Milion --So far 3080 cameras installed, a 4G network spectrum exclusive for police network linked to police station, and some 4G-enabled handheld radios that can relay real-time images for analysis(although I am yet to see any police hold one)

1. Why waste your most maneuverable assets for area denial & security - thats what MBT's are for

2. Your fleets of all of the above seem to have suffered serious attrition

Base security can 100% be conducted by effective use of indirect-fire as well as direct-fire crewed weapons. Provided, of course, your fortifications have been properly conducted.

Mortars + HMG's + ATGM's = a secure base
Mortars + HMG's + ATGM's + CAS = Fort Knox

Example: 3rd Battalion, 16 Air Assault Brigade (*The* Parachute Regiment) in Helmand (basically, their entire tour in 2006)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erLT1WbbAIM
- you can see all the elements I talked about above.

Overran and taken over back. We lost 3 streit APC. HF radio and other weapons. Those streit APC are well armed and that is a very big loss on its own.
Over 200 BHT and the attack went on for over 1 hour. What happened to the tactical air command? 1 hour is enough to scramble F-7, ALPHA JETS, MI-17 or MI-24. They would have destroyed the streit or either force BHT out the vehicles, leaving them to run.

Over 200BHT, we could have had at least 50 kills if we had air assets deployed immediately.
