Many of my best selling gigs have downward arrows!

I am still studying the matter. I think not just keywords, even the description needs to be rewritten!

If not that I have completed orders/reviews on a few of those gigs with downward arrows, I would have deleted them and created new ones.

Currently evaluating how to go about revising the affected gigs!

- I think there's no longer a focus on keywords like before as everyone observed. Paying any Tom, Dieck, and Halimi for ranking services is usually you giving someone free launch, buying insults and controversy in the process. Too much drama. Buy a carton of Orijin instead. I should have in hindsight.

- Using my bestseller as a yardstick, its ranking recently has been in response to account activity. I have a good idea where my gig will be every day, all things being equal. However, based on metrics like response rate, buyer ratings and delivery percentage and the likes, it moves. Anytime I get a late delivery or lots of deliveries with no reviews given, it drops. Once I get a bunch of reviews and stats go up, it moves back to the optimum position.

- There's no science to Fiverr gig ranking. The only formula that has worked for me is hard work, great customer service, and high-quality deliveries. Repeat customers will get you from $5/order to $50/order real quick. I made Level 2 in exactly 60 days from account opening on the back of 3 clients. One good order always deserves another. It has never failed me.

- Offer solutions NOT invoices. Buyers trust your opinion if you present it in a legible, gbaguan-free manner.

- By all means, get the tools of your trade. A writer with no Copyscape Premium or Grammarly, is that one writer? Don't be a Yahoo Boy No Laptop.

I am riding on the back of repeat customers as well including the guy I complained off. I wants to give me a very big order. I am breaking it down into 10 different orders with a delivery period over the next 2 months, so I am riding on him to Level 1 Seller.

Very very true. Imagine attending classes on a subject you know absolutely nothing about for days on end so as to become an insider so that one can serve the customer well. I have spent 10 gigabytes of data on training videos and days on end reading stuff upon stuff just to get around delivering a world-class proposal on a subject that I knew next to nothing about.

So I can beat my chest that, just as the above did not fail you, it will not fail me and anyone else interested in following the same path.

Try this;

Go to the bottom of any of your gigs. Click on the tags and you will be taken to a whole new search page. Tags now factor into ranking more than ever. You are now battling to rank high in not only your category, but each individual tag you use on your gig too.

Also, avoid cancelations and beg your clients to drop positive feedback asap.

I saw a seller that does $7000- $10,000 monthly on the average, starting price $250. He said he's doing pretty much nothing else. I'd say the same for most top rated sellers. It has the potential to be full-time if you are able to put your real name on the account and have the correct location. Then the possibilities are endless. I'd like to see a Nigerian Top Seller one of these days and I have a feeling it is closer than we think.

He's not Nigerian. Can't remember what country he's from again but I know he does video animation and has been rocking this kind revenue for like 2 years now steady. If there is one thing I learned, it was that you can do this full-time with paid employees at a certain level and have only ONE gig. This for me is the aspiration.

Ohh. I run mine mostly as a business though, so I agree with the paid employees part. It affords you the liberty to have more than one gig that is doing well because all you have to do is focus on getting more jobs and outsource it to them. I see 5 of my gigs ranked highly on front page each time I use certain keywords (even broad ones o) and I get contacted by lots of prospective buyers everyday. I'd be making a whole lot more if I had more people to outsource to.

I'm in the writing niche. You don't expect me to write different 20,000 word eBook in a month all by myself now. I have a team of writers that support me. Trust me, they are good. They are better than me sef. Only thing is we share my money and with the $$ dropping against the Naira daily, I wonder how much longer this will last.

End Goal is financial independence and a big part of that is diversification - that is not depending on a single source of income no matter how great that source of income maybe, so one does not end up like Nokia or BlackBerry
