E no easy... just prays his choice pans out well shaa.... he is one for the future. Granted.
Would you rather have an Asian country or United States win the WC first?
One thing, it's always easier to learn from your neighbors first, because they were most likely in a similar circumstance. All the comparisons with the EPL etc, Can't we learn from the South African league. We are ahead in talents because on our focus on football and our advantage in number, but they have achieved a lot in a relative short time considering their circumstance. If Ghana wins the WC first it is by merit and they deserve it. Well different opinions, but I'm gunning for who is more like me. The westerners rope all of us as the same no matter how hard we try to be like them more lol

Mujtahida:

Generally speaking I don't think like that especially on the home front as in Nigeria and how we run things (let the best have it is my motto) but when it comes to international football or sports I want Nigeria to be first or never. It's kind of quirky. Don't take it too serious.

I am concerned that most of the players are not yet in the camp! Where's Kelechi, Ndidi, Onazi, and all the big boys?

As far as I know, the only people that has an excuse not to be in the camp already are: Moses, Iwobi, Aina, and Oshimen. So where are the rest of the players? Is the Turkey league still in session?

O pari

Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Mikel Agu are expected to join the team today according to the Super Eagles Twitter handle.

Well... the Super Eagles twitter handle didn't mention Ndidi among those we are expecting today so this could be why.....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exclusive: Leicester City Star Ndidi Out Of Corsica Friendly, More Eagles To Withdraw

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Leicester City's Young Player of the Year Wilfred Ndidi is out of the Super Eagles international friendly against Corsica due to difficulties encountered traveling to the Island Nation.

The central midfielder is stuck in Nigeria, having traveled to his homeland following the end of the 2016-2017 season.

Ndidi missed his flight to France and due to the nonavailability of a connecting flight to Corsica, he will wait for the Super Eagles players and officials in Paris and join the team for their next match against Togo on June 1.

Another option is for the Nigeria Football Federation to fly him via private jet to the Island which is not feasible because of their financial situation.

It is understood that a number of players are in the same boat as Ndidi and will have to skip the friendly with Corsica.

Corsica is a tourist destination and it's very difficult to get flights to the Island apart from flights operated by Easy Jet, Thomas Cook and private jets from a small airport.

Good to know. But Ahmed Musa? Isn't he supposed to be on honeymoon? Much respect for his commitment tho.

And by the way, I was about to ask of Ndidi only to hear that he has withdrawn.

You are right oooo..... This Zambian team ehn.. hmmmm.... I just dey look them... they look so resilient and very very enterprising.

They have already equalled the class of 2007's showing at an U-20 WC (Zambia's best performance and finish so far). It is most likely this squad surpasses their predecessors and some of them go on to be household names for Zambian football just like The 2012 Afcon winning side that had Emmanuel Mayuka and Stophila Sunzu from the 2007 U-20 side that lost to Echiejile's Nigeria.

and that new Algeria coach was dreaming of still qualifying Algeria for the world cup...
thank God we already won them at home....
to be honest I expect some of these guys to be integrated into the National team after the tourney

Enjoy my bro. But safarigirl and all those with that kind sentiments, Africa will be stunted with the mindset of Nigeria first or never. Or my village or never. Or my state or never. In fact our political class are capitalizing on that to chop and go free. I may be digressing, but this is more encompassing then we may think.

I think you're taking it just a wee bit too far.

If Zambia like, they can draft their entire U20 team to play against us, na Mikel go show them the difference between youth and experience.

The way you guys give anybody levels in this our group sometimes ehn, instead of us to watch Cameroon playing Confeds in June, una dey yarn all these small small children for U20. Unless they have an Mbappe and a Jesus, I no send them.

Countries wey even get Mbappe and Jesus no qualify for U20, just goes to show the quality of opposition in this tournament this year

No I'm not.. We can all do a self check to see if that kind of sentiments stretch to other areas of our lives.

Of course whether u support a country or not on TV will not affect their performance.

I don't get too emotional about sports for you to think that.

Just like whether they win or not will not affect my country, so why should I support them? If your neighbor gets a promotion at work, is it your salary that will increase?

I get emotional about sports, like I say here a lot of times, I take it personal. So yeah, I want my country to be the top dog, is that not better than people who never care about watching a Nigerian match, but won't eat if their foreign clubs lose? undecided

I am proud of both of them. Henry for his show of commitment and Alhassan for doing the NPFL proud thus far. He is easily the buy of the season and i can see Akwa getting a pretty return from him.
