It depends on the trim. This particular trim is about the highest trim, there are trims that cost half the price of this. Even at that the most expensive Hilux is still cheaper than the cheapest Prado. Prices of Prado starts from around $54,000 and can go as high as $80,000 depending on trim level.

My brother, Ford ranger or any other pickup in their class can never compare with Toyota Hilux in Fuel efficiency, tow and low capacity, reliability and durability. Nissan Frontier is the worst, load it with 15bags of cement and you won't like it any more. I can only agree that the anesthetics of Hilux may not be too wonderful. I have used both and currently still using Diesel powered Hilux. So I'm talking from experience

It's reliability an durability is not in doubt. Jut that being a vehicle mostly patronised for business and operations, it will bore a hole in company expenditure

Of course due to the recession everything has dropped in sales including road side Akara. But buying Toyota Hilux by government and other companies is like a cult activity. Also no other truck comes close to Hilux in terms of durability and reliability, certainly not Ford Ranger.

Thank you my Oga I was trying to tell him the price is the least of the buyers problem. Because they are either governments who didn't work for the money or a company that needs the service only Hilux can deliver excellently.
I work with some Chinese Engineers with CCECC, they drive their Mitsubishi and we drive Hilux, they never dare do what we do with our pick up!
