A brand new international airport should be built with international facilities...not tarting up an old package

If you are a frequent traveler you will know that the airport was a near shithole before Stella Udua started the remodel exercise of few airports in Nigeria.

Indeed you didn't used the airport before the reconstruction. She might be bad, corrupt etc but the truth is that she tried in few of our airport through that her remodeling exercise. The airports I frequently use like Imo, Enugu, Lagos all had a face lift. The only one I am completely confused on what is still happening to it is PH.

The pictures didn't justify what we are taking about. I give her credit because I have been using those airport before her appointment, if the ministers before her did as little as she did, believe me we will not be where we are today. Every person that did used those airports will bear witness to what I am saying.

Murtala Mohammed International airport has undergone some changes and Nigerians seem to be impressed by the transformation.

There's order at the passport control, the officials are brisk and efficient, there's even a working air conditioning.

Looking at the pictures one can tell the difference from what it used to be.

See pictures below;

The greatest disservice and injustice a man can do to himself is to lie to himself. I pass through MM1 every 8 weeks since the last 3years. Stella Odua's fake remodelling was all fraud. As at 2014, Dele Momodu was on a crusade to expose the deplorable state of our airports. He took pictures of delapidated facilities, terrible toilets, damaged conveyour belts, ACs not working. I remember as at October last year @MM1, power systems were so badly damaged there was a day we had to deboard with tourchlights, toilets were in terrible conditions. I came into the country sometime in the past, and conveyor belts did not work and they had to physically hand carry our bags to us

Relating the new MM1 facelift to Stella Odua the fraud is not only a lie but an insult to well meaning people's sensibilities. What you see now, is as a result of Osinbajo's office initiative on "Ease of Doing Business".

but the real question is have immigration stoped collecting bribe

if they really want to give the airport a face lift they should go to dubia airport for inspiration

Immigration can only continue to collect bribe if you give them. What our Immigration, Customs, NDLEA and Toilet cleaners at the Airports are embrassing the country with their penchant for begging. I raised this same issue on my twitter handle few weeks ago.

I think the idea is to refurbish this one to near standard. The long term objective is that MM1 will be a 3-winged Airport. There is a wing that was built by the Chinese that is about to be completed. When that one is ready, they will close this current one, move to the new wing, then truly refurbish and build the third wing.

it was Stella oduah that gave that airport the look it has now... soon when the new terminal building and car park under construction is completed, u would still tell us she left in 2013, forgetting that she was the one that borrowed the 500m dollars for upgrading the airports and building the new terminal buildings that is ongoing simultaneously in the 4 main international airports. Lagos, Abuja, PH and Kano

You are not getting it judging by size scale and overhead Airports like PHC has 3 international flights 7 days a week full load . Air France Lufthansa and KLM .
