0.88k is less than 1k.

Note that N0.88k is different from 0.88k.

N0.88k is the same as 88k, while 0.88k is almost 90% of 1k.

You got it absolutely right.
the eps is 0.88k which is less than 1k. They will have to increase eanings in 100x for them to have 88k.

Hello everyone, please how do I get dividend of stocks I bought online? I am new to internet stock marketing and I would like to know how to claim the dividends for the dividends I bought online through MorganCapital itrade. Thank you as you reply.

The emphasis is just to put the record straight. I was once a victim of this miscalculation of this kind of kobo kobo eps.
And by the way,who said there are no good kobo kobo stocks. History will tell us that penny stocks give the highest returns in a bullish market, examples abound on the nse....

Having said that, a very good book you can read for further understanding of price and volume is the one written by Timothy Ord, "The Secret Science of Price and Volume"

grin grin grin grin grin

I recommend using a 260-day average for the volume. (5 trading days per week × 52 weeks in a year).

He can also read "Master the Markets" by Tom Williams.

Not forgetting Union Diagnostics, Starcomm, IGI etc most the companies he recommended and hyped are yet to pay dividend nor enjoyed capital appreciation in almost 10 years.

The recommended stocks were hyped in the seminars he organised all over the country, daily radio show, weekly television show and daily stock newspaper.

In a saner society, people who made investment decisions based on his so called professional advice would have sued him.

Dont let those kobo kobo eps confuse you o.
2017 q1 eps is 0.88k and not 88k.

yom2:
still d same thing it is close to 1naira ; 0.88, 0.95. 0.99 and 1naira. Mind u fbn is just 0.44k and its trading for 6naira

emmanuelewumi:

0.88k is the same as N0.0088.

Mpeace:
With all due respect sir, they are not the same. The former is 100x the latter. I do not stand to be corrected cos am absolutely sure.

emmanuelewumi:

0.88k is less than 1k.
Note that N0.88k is different from 0.88k.
N0.88k is the same as 88k, while 0.88k is almost 90% of 1k.

emmanuelewumi:

Note the Naira sign in N0.0088k is absent from the 0.88k.
The same way why N0.90k is the same as 90k, is the reason why N0.0088k is the same as 0.88k.

The wrong placement, or removal of the currency unit is contradicting the whole thing. Conventionally Eighty-eight Kobo is written as 88k or N0.88.

0.88k is not the same as N0.88 (Eighty-eight Kobo) although commonly used in NSEMPA. 0.88k is 0.12 kobo less than 1 kobo while N0.88 is 12 kobo less than N1.00.

0.88k is the same as N0.0088. @emmanuelewumi was right in this instance. However, neither 0.88k nor N0.0088 is equal to Eighty-eight Kobo (which is N0.88 or 88k).

While N0.88k is argueably correct (to mean 88 kobo), conventionally the 'kobo' symbol is left out so it can be written as N0.88.

Download the e-mandate forms of the registrars for the stocks you bought, fill the forms and take to your bank to upload on the NIBSS platform (eDMMS).

If you bought any stocks being managed by United Securities, Atlas (former FlourMills) registrars and DataMax registrars, you need to meet your broker, sign a transfer form and let them process for you. These particular set of registrars are still using GLO network. Lol

That will give EPS of N0.00875k. But if PAT of about N17.5m is converted to kobo for easy calculation. We will have a PAT of 1,750,000,000k divided by outstanding shares of 2,000,000,000 giving us an EPS of 0.88k which is less than 1k.

The expected earning per share for the year at this rate is expected to be about 3.5k.

The market crash let the man down, though he (abayomi) has learnt a lot from it. I am by no means one of his numerous and ardent followers and usually come from ibadan to attend his seminar in one hotel in ikeja every Sunday where I met alhaji kurfi (livestock director) and other coy promoters. However, that is in the past, the same abayomi has been shouting/recommending stocks such as Access when it was N3 in 2015 and I am sure those that bought and hold since then would have been singing his praises now.

I dont even know that the man still writes about stock now.
Gone are those days when we were always looking forward to get copies of his weekly stockwatch magazine.Even in my local area here we mus get it at all cost. I stiil get some copies in my library. He did his best and he got so many of us interested in the stock market.
With my little knowledge about stocks now,i will rather do my analysis myself and follow my own investment rules developed over time.

that's the best, cause no one knows it all. Ticket to his seminar used to be very expensive. I equally have many of his DVD plates which I bought very costly those days. But all of a sudden, he shut up...what a changing time.

Count Herbert Wigwe and Access Bank out if you're looking for a bank
to raid for your non performing loot (NPL). If you run back to your village
in United Arab Emirate, he will pursue you to that place.

Old memories! I never missed buying Stockwatch!

I was also trapped in Insurance shares. I abandoned everything that 2007/2008 economic issues.

Now I'm trying to reactivate my account with my brokerage firm. I discovered that some of the shares I bought back then was missing in the my account details they mailed to me recently example FCMB and others. Though I haven't written them on it as I'm still trying to gain access to my account first.
