Good morning house. Please does anyone have any idea or knowledge about Ontario NOI? I have few days to accept (I read I have to accept in 45 days) I just want to know if its worth paying that large amount of money. Biko help a sister. My score is 405. Thank you

Hello, you have 6 months to accept the nomination. However, once you register on the OINP site you must submit your application within 14 days and not 45 days.

My advise, get all you documents together and submit you application asap. You may also consult the application guide on OINP for further guidance.

Finally, OINP has a nomination quota of 6,000 for 2017 and they've used up about 3,000 as at 19th June.

Good luck!

This is plain silly. To think you are interpreting something wrong and going torrr at those trying to correct you. This thread is for sharing info and ideas on the subject matter. None of us is CIC or a VO and even them can't know it all, that's why they have guidelines for dealing with applications. Anyways, weldone.

From CIC page

Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA
An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.

When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.

This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR.

GrandCommander:

Not necessarily, only info that impacts your score including age(which has a special exemption) must be maintained. All others can be changed with a LOE. Honest mistakes are bound to occur.

You need 100% concentration, like your life depends on it. Forget woman matter, money matter and everything else. It really pays to read the questions before listening to the conversations, it helps you anticipate answers but be careful, some are tricky still. Relax and concentrate. Listening was super easy for me, I had a 9. I just practised a lot, relaxed and concentrated fully.

Although I am Practicing like you, I will advise you review what you are doing wrong, give it full concentration and attempt multiple original ielts practice test by Cambridge.

To review your mistakes, after you score yourself, check to know the correct answers to your wrong answers and listen to your mistake part of the audio again and again. Good luck

Learn your mistakes from any video you practice on but practice with as much videos as you can. You can dedicate a whole day to listening and just get videos upon videos to practice on and act like you're in the exam hall with set timers and all. All the very best. Don't neglect the others too.

Winchman please answer this.
I've been on my transcript journey since April, and they are yet to send it to IQAS.

Everyday stories.

Sadly I can't go to school because of work.

You need to contact the helpdesk and possibly tip the woman in charge with some little cash. I did the same and after 5.5 weeks my transcript was sent. I got the helpdesk contact thru a friend. I called virtualy twice every week to no avail. I eventually had to send a contact in owerri to physically handover a tip and in One week my transcript left FUTO.

Contact me to share the contact with you.

Ontario Provides List of Targeted Occupations for Express Entry Immigration Stream

JULY 4, 2017 BY HUGO O'DOHERTY AND NOAH TURNER
A range of candidates in the Express Entry pool who have work experience in one of many Information and Communications Technology (ICT) occupations were prioritized by the province of Ontario under a new initiative that began on June 26. Now, Ontario has clarified which candidates have been targeted for selection by the province.

Under this initiative, Ontario searched the Express Entry pool specifically for ICT workers under the Express Entry-aligned Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream, part of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

Under the HCP stream, only eligible candidates who are in the Express Entry pool may be issued a Notification of Interest (NOI, effectively an invitation to apply for provincial nomination). A provincial nomination issued under this stream results in a candidate receiving 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool.

On June 28, the government of Ontario made an announcement that it was seeking ICT professionals. While one of the usual requirements of the HCP stream is that candidates must have a CRS score of 400 or above, the June 28 announcement clarifies that for these ICT occupation-specific searches only, Ontario lowered the required minimum CRS score below 400. Candidates eligible for the HCP stream, but who do not have ICT work experience, remain eligible for selection if they have 400 CRS points and satisfy other criteria.

When the June 28 announcement was made, no list of specific occupations was provided. However, on July 4, Ontario published the following list of targeted occupations:

NOC 0131: Telecommunication Carriers Managers
NOC 0213: Computer and Information Systems Managers
NOC 2133: Electrical and Electronics Engineers
NOC 2147: Computer Engineers (Except Software Engineers and Designers)
NOC 2171: Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
NOC 2172: Database Analysts and Data Administrators
NOC 2173: Software Engineers and Designers
NOC 2174: Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
NOC 2175: Web Designers and Developers
NOC 2241: Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technologists and Technicians
NOC 2281: Computer Network Technicians
NOC 2282: User Support Technicians
NOC 2283: Systems Testing Technicians
NOC 5224: Broadcast Technicians
NOC 5241: Graphic Designers and Illustrators
In essence, the for week beginning June 26 many ICT workers in the Express Entry pool were in line to receive a NOI under the HCP stream, even if they had a CRS score below 400.

At this time, it remains unknown if or when Ontario may continue targeting ICT professionals. If the province again prioritizes certain occupations, the ICT sector may be on the mind of government staff as recent reports state that Ontario will need tens of thousands more ICT workers over the coming years.

For candidates with ICT work experience and candidates with other work experience alike, the first step to getting an enhanced provincial nomination under the OINP is to create an Express Entry profile. Only then may Ontario be aware that this particular individual wants to immigrate to Canada, specifically to the province of Ontario.

I repeat again. This is risky and you cannot see the document he has uploaded. For someone who cannot scan and send his document to you, what is the probability of him uploading the same document and what is the difference between sending his document via email and him logging in with your details, reviewing your application and then uploading his document.

That's a huge risk you are taking. If he is not going to give you the document, let him be. If he cannot trust you with his document, why would you trust him with your own application. Just my thoughts
very true ! Trust is reciprocal

I believe the Case Officer got it wrong. Loss of point due to age should not result in rejection. For any rejections due to this age difference, the applicant can appeal to get his/her application re-opened.

Check these links for more details.

Woah I see, I have properly read the links now. So in a nutshell, it's not a case for rejection. It is exempted.

Thanks for the clarification!

Don't panic bro. Truth is that IELTS Listening on YouTube is harder than the real test because of the need to look at the screen and then on paper to answer. From my experience, the highest I scored on YouTube was 33/40 (7.5) but scored 8.5 in the real test last November. I generally found the real test easier and didn't even remember missing anything but my Reading spoiled my result. I'm retaking this month anyway.
I think it's better to practice with YouTube and hope to have it easier in real test. Good luck!
