Hello guys, hope this finds you well.
Congratulations to those who aced the test and have been invited for the interview.
I wasn't invited though (PhD) but will like to share a few tips about the interview.
I was a beneficiary of the 2014 award for MSc.

The interview can be a mixture of 4 things, depending on the situation and also on your intended course or background.

1. Defend your intended/Undergraduate degree course.
Questions may be asked directly or you might be required to do some explanation about the course and what you intend to achieve. I was quite fortunate that Mine was direct questioning... And I happened to know the answers.

2. What is the relationship between your intended course and your undergraduate background?
This largely depends if they can't seem to correlate both. And it's a MAKE or BREAK question. But if you're confident both are genuinely related, then you shouldn't be much troubled. I was not asked this as mine was very related. But many where, and for most, that's where the interview ended!

3. What is the relevance of your intended course to the development of Niger Delta/Nigeria.
Like the second, this also depends on whether they can see a clear relevance or not. But you don't have to gamble. Research and rehearse about how you can sell your intended course. If you do well here then you have a big chance!

4. Current affairs questions. The panelists may ask you random current affairs questions. This may be the name of your local government chairman, your Member of house of reps /senator/deputy Governor or any commissioner. Or when did this or that happen in Nigeria? Or which countries border Nigeria... Just from any area. This is not a killer question though... I failed one out of the 2 i was asked.

That's more like it. The panelists are mostly profs (about 8 of them) from different areas, so there's a likelihood of having one who knows a thing or 2 about your area of interest/undergraduate degree. But they are quite friendly ... And they don't bully you in any way... You just have to be relaxed and friendly too and don't try to argue with them.

1). How many minutes will the Ph.D prproposal presentation / interview last?
2). Do we need to prepare power points ( Microsoft power point Slides )
3). What are the likely questions for those in Environmental science / environmental engineering.
4). Do we need to include cost of the research in our proposal?

Please, I have this challenge and I don't really know what to do. My Waec certificate and first degree certificate are at German embassy or probably in Germany now, and I was shortlisted for the interview. Between using a certified copy of both and going with my neco result and statement of result to replace both, which is better and more advisable.
Thanks

What are your documents doing there? they are meant to be for you. Secondly, I advise you go get them or call the NDDC scholarship committee or phone before then, so that they can advise accordingly.

Ten to fifteen minutes. Nothing elaborate, so no projectors. Be confident.
