I think Nurses don't work on H1B... Only EB (green card). And ATT is for you to schedule exam, not to register... You can actually register for exam before getting ATT.

Thank God for teachers like u ooo

Greetings!

I have been a silent reader on this thread. I must say you guys rock!

I have a screen test exam with AVANT HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS this week and I'm preparing really hard, so I thought I'd come here also to get advice and likely questions/format, perhaps if someone could please send relevant materials that would help my preparation.

Gurus on this thread Please come help a brother.

@barbiee
@auchris
please assist me in any way you can. Much appreciated! NCLEX practice questions would suffice.

Here's my email: aprofessor@naij.com

Shalom!

the screening exam is nclex style questions. It was difficult for me but you can pass it. Don't be afraid, just try to submit before time

good morning all, I have been a silent follower of this post. I graduated this March (BNSC) and I was wondering if I could start this whole process too without work experience. Is work experience needed for nclex and everything? Please I would appreciate if someone can put me through. Thank you.

Hello. Pls I would like to know if CGFNS would issue me a visacreen certificate. My I.E.L.T.S score is overall band 7.0 which is fine cos the requirement is 6.5 but my speaking is 6.0 and requirement is 7.0. My licensure board has already verified so it's just the I.E.L.T.S. I took the academic version

yes, you can start the evaluation process with cgfns without work experience, you can also write Nclex without it.

your speaking has to be at least 7.0 to qualify for the visascreen certificate

Must I have recent clinical experience before I can get a sponsor?
A friend had 6.5 in writing on two occasions, other bands were above 7. Is there any opportunity for her as a HCA pending when she gets 7 in Writing?
gratefulme40:

I will suggest you get your IELTs
Do and pass your CBT

And then find an employer. You can get an employer by yourself or let an angency do it for you.

The importance of getting an employer at this stage is that they will pay for your osce which costs almost £1k

Besides the cost, they will prepare you for your osce. Chances of passing osce on your own with your own preparation is very slim.

Do make sure you choose a hospital as your employer not a care home or nursing home. Failure rate for osce is very high amongst foreign nurses recruited by care homes and nursing homes.

NB: an employer is same as sponsor. They provide sponsorship for work visa.

current experience is a must for sponsorship

I think your clinical experience should be within the last 4 years. Not very sure.

As for your friend, there is no chance unfortunately. She needs to get 7 at least in all the bands

Hello, please can I have the contact of the person at nursing council. I am about to send my verification form to them.
Thank you.

MPVGoddess:

Gratefulme40 has spoken well.

I paid official fees and fees for express service. I didn't stop there. I specifically demanded that courier delivery be used and I demanded the tracking number and I entrusted someone there to act as my paid for agent to ensure all these happened.

I paid more yes, but that is the price for ensuring things work in Nigeria.

Let me assume, your case may not even have been closed at the council.

If you need a contact at the council, I can help. If not, I have let the cat out of the bag, over to you!

start from the beginning of the thread. Lots of good info but you could apply to avant or O'Grady Peyton with your ielts if you want to use a recruiter

I just came here to read up and get inspired more because that is what you guys do for me.
CgFNS has chosen to delay me like crazy and its affecting my morale. They sent another form to my son since begining of June and as an unregisteted mail only God knows how long it would take.
I started the process in October 2016.i want to know what would happen if they havent given me a report by october this year

I don't think credential evaluation would take this long it is either the required forms and transcripta was not sent on time because I mailed Cgfns and they replied that if the necessary documents are received on time it won't take more than 3 months for the evaluation to be complete.I will equally oblige us to try other credentialing agencies because Cgfns is not the only agency that can offer such services

If your intention is to practice in the US by having an employer or recruitment agency sponsor you, you definitely need CGFNS. CGFNS is the only organization that can issue a visascreen certificate.
However, if you want to get the NCLEX-RN exam done quickly you can go with other evaluation agencies. Keep in mind that you will still come back to CGFNS and you will spend more.

Thank you for the info though I didn't know thought they both issue visa screen.
