We all have been anticipating for the Unlimited Data Plan from Airtel , after much video advert from them , and to make is a surprised it was silently launched without any announcement from almighty Airtel . As we are expecting an Unlimited data to browse will mama calls .

Airtel NG has earlier teased an unlimited package and now, they have silently launched the plan without any word from them.

The Unlimited package comes in 3 different packages, meaning you can choose anyone that best suite you.

Airtel Unlimited Packages

You can dial -141# and follow prompt or alternately use the below codes;

➽ N10,000 Unlimited Packages / Validity is 30 days.

➽ N15,000 Unlimited Packages / Validity is 30 days .

➽ N20,000 Unlimited Packages / Validity is 30 days .

How To Activate It

➽ For N10,000 Unlimited Packages, dial *471#

➽ For N15,000 Unlimited Packages , dial *463#

➽ For N20,000 Unlimited Packages , dial *351#

What i'm not understanding is how many Gigs is in each package , because i don't know why they had to make different package if its actually unlimited. I wasn't expecting this much on the price , also fail usage policy will apply .

What is you take on this ?

So my take, obviously we need an unlimited data plan, but how does Airtel expect an average Nigerian to be able to afford these data plan.

At least there should have include made a daily or weekly unlimited data plan for a lower price. And for the three different 30 days plans for different prices,” AM NOT UNDERSTANDING OOO”.

I mean is it based on the data cap or speed difference, as we surely know that it can’t be truly unlimited. But there might be possibility of it been truly unlimited because of the prices, but Na Naija We Dey.

Airtel Finally Launched Unlimited Data Packages… But the Price Will Shock You

And so on.

Pls share source/link of this info or you are just speculating? In my opinion this is a play on the word "Unlimited" like the days of saying you can use the data at any time in the day and not what we have come to understand when networks say unlimited ie no data cap per period. I cant see anything on their website either instead there are "Unlimited" plans of 3GB, 200MB and 40MB. Airtel should stop this stunt and come clear on these new plans.

I will never trust on speed as a selling point from any ISP because its never guaranteed. So this means no data cap then?

Lol @ Hediot, see official link for the plans..

So Fair usage policy is their backup to kill your joy after you hit your "open tap" browsing cap.
As someone currently using Ntel unlimited monthly plan I will have to stay where I am for now.

At the least I see serious competition brewing and in this war consumers get to win.
