You're Arewa. be proud of it. What's the name of this late politician from Kabba that held an esteem position in Arewa. Can't remember his name.

Sunday Awoniyi?

One-time chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum.

I am a potpourri of ethnicities, lol. In order not to complicate things, I just say I am a Port Harcourt girl, because that's where I was raised.

I didn't choose. It's just that children are naturally more inclined to their mothers than fathers. That's why people tend to learn their mother's languages than their fathers. Take people like Yemi Alade and Waje. Their fathers are Yoruba and Edo respectively but they can only speak Igbo which is their mother's language.

So who cares of of what Area means?
Benue has nothing to do with Arewa, they have their different words for North, even though they are not North, they are not related or share border with Hausa Fulani peeps

AND who cares about what you think, which boarder they share or which word they use as north. Actually we don't.

It remains Northern Nigeria and you cannot change that.

Zombie, Arewa is Hausa Language for North, the Benue has nothing to do with North, an average Benue doesn't understand Hausa so why keep associating yourselves with them? Face the North West and North East and leave the Middle Belt alone,

Who is saying Benue understand or don't understand Hausa? Who is associating Hausa as same as other tribes in Benue? Are you losing focus?

Middle Belt does not exist. There are only 2 regions in Nigeria. Either you're from South (SS,SW,SE) or North (NE,NW,NC). The so called middle belt have no place in our Constitution.

Your governor always pay allegiance to Northern Governors Forum meeting in the capital of northern Nigeria which is Kaduna.

In the avoidance of doubt the newly elected Chairman of Northern Elders Forum after the death of Maitama Sule is from Benue State. His name is:

Mr Paul Unongo elected chairman of the Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF)

Claim what? How can we claim what is already in the north? You can only ask us to claim when its officially declare as Biafran State.

I tire 4 dem. The moment they hear Arewa then it is Hausa Fulani domination. Not knowing that the Hausa is more of a Language than a tribe and it is naturally blessed. Take an example: The President is fulani but he only speak Hausa, Kano, Sokoto etc are all fulani emirate but I doubt Emir Sunusi, or Late Ado Bayero can speak Fulani. Here I have a christian Friend from southern Kaduna, He cannot speak his tribe but Hausa. Does that make him Hausa?

Why is it that the North West, and North East both contain multiple tribes that are not Hausa nor Fulani or Kanuri , but the South West is restricted to only Yorubas to constitute it?
If Gbagyis, Kutep, Kadara, Bussa etc and other non Hausa tribes can be classified in North West, how come tribes like Ebira, Okuns, Igalas, and parts of southern Nupe that are closer to Yorubas historically are not in South West?

Officially the North is made of 19 states and If you feel you're not from the north despite being among the 19 Northern states, pls silently move out of this thread. Nobody is begging you to stay here.
