It encouraged the study of the bible and if you used it as a child, you would become conversant with 90% of biblical teachings and stories.
It should never have been allowed to go out of print.

i didn't see one black character on that movie/book, they ve always wanted black people to believe that every thing Godly or pure is white. well...we have finally grown up or atleast some of us have.

You're right about pushing a JW agenda, and this was mainly toward the end of the book. The old testament stories were the bomb though!
I wonder why someone cannot take it upon himself to write a biblical book for African children. It will sell.

I think the resemblance was intentional. Those that sought to crucify Christ didn't know him. One could infer that he bore some resemblance with his inner circle/disciples. That was why Judas had to betray/identify him with a kiss.

The writers of the book ended this particular story with"Do you now see why it's wrong to take other people's things?", lowkey telling kids that if they ever steal, they'll die by stoning. Also, look how evil the artists made him look. Like he's burying a body! LOL

This Book made my Childhood, Then after this one I studied "Learn from The Great Teacher" Then also Studied "Knowledge that Leads to Everlasting Life" before getting Baptised

Wonderful O.P. I can relate with all the pictures posted. Primary school tinz during my ECWA days, albeit i was a muslim then and very much still a muslim now. How time flies. I so much loved the book then. I knew virtually all the stories to the xtent that I always picture the stories in my mind's eye whenever I was narrating or writing in exams. That book laid the foundational knowledge I had of religion. It made me a sort of champion in those stories during my Islamiyya going days. Lol.

And what's surprising about this being jw publication its there trade mark nobody beats them when it comes to published colourful books and Biblical publication.
I got a regular supply of awake and that is the best magazine i always love to read it doesn't cover just religious matter but deals with every aspect of human life..
From to cope with anxiety, marriage, how to spend time and money wisely..dealing with depression all that stuff the list is pretty endless.

It is not out of print. Kindly download from the link earlier posted by the op or walk into any Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and ask for a copy.

Don't be an overly sentimental black person. Be a human. If a story has no black person in it, should they manufacture black characters just to make blacks feel good?
When they the story is about Egypt the people are not whites. They are depicted as mixed or black. If there are blacks in a story you'll see them in it. The bible mentions Libyans, Ethiopians and Egypt. If a story does not have them you can't find black people.

The fact that people still believe the poorly wriitten stories in the bible shocks me till this very moment.Did you also notice how many folks on this thread didn't even realize the OPs' sarcastic tone about the mentioned book?He is mocking them and the so-called believers are praising him.Good grief...
