Robinho flopped at city, so did Jesus navas, negredo and borjan at stoke. The only ones that made a mark Is Deco, Eto'o barely played, barca didn't make Sanchez, he was top notch right from udinese days. Toure and Costa yes.

Falcao was banging goals at Porto before joining Madrid, we all know he flopped in England.
Is this the point? How many ENGLISH players have succeeded in Spain, compared to the number of those who failed woefully?

Noted. I'm removing Liverpool from that ignoble list. But when last did u carry the cup? I'm talking lately, not centuries ago cheesy
I'm not even a Liverpool fan but they carried the cup in 2005, Man Utd carried it last in 2008...

Stop shouting as if Man Utd. won it last year...It's been 9 years...

For how long did Puyol play for Guardiola with 'his old age'?

Could you share the names of Guardiola signings while I list Rijkaard's?

When Rijkaard left, did Ronaldinho not become a part of the team that won the League?

Perhaps it never occurred to you that Guardiola had some personal issues with the players he sent out of the club. The persecution has not stopped with Toure that he chased out. He had tons of personal issues with Deco which saw the latter move to England.

Van Bommel won four trophies with Guardiola before leaving and Giuly won three. I could go with the rest but it doesn't really make sense since you lifted your opinion from God-knows-where.

Besides, why has the 'genius' not replicated his feat since he left Spain? Care to share?
Lol, the same thing he did at City sending Hart and Toure on exile. He couldn't reveal his regret out of pride when Bravo started conceding every shot on Target. And had it being he didn't recall Toure, maybe they wouldn't be in the draw today.

His points: Madrid bought Ronaldo from Manchester united after Fergie coached him from being a skinny little boy to winning the world best in 2008

It was Arsenal who gave Fabregas the time and opportunity that he didn't see in Barca that he developed in England and even became their captain, before Barca bought him back.

Barca also snapped Henry from Arsenal after he became a cult hero for the club and Mascherano from Liverpool

Bale came from Southampton academy playing left back to Tottenham still playing left back to being a deadly winger before Madrid broke the transfer record to sign him.

Madrid also snapped up Luka Modric from Tottenham and Alonso from Madrid .

Liverpool used the fraction of money Chelsea gave them in Torres sale to get Suarez from Ajax, Suarez came from being a winger to one of the world best striker before Barca bought him.

We all know Madrid has been romancing with Hazard and De Gea for some time now while Barca is looking to prey on Liverpool once more for coutinho.

Those are the few ones I remember now.

Henry was a pensioner before moving to Spain.

1) No team scores this much goals playing horribly. If you need to refresh your memory, watch 2011/2012 season highlights again

2) Between 2003/04 - 2008/09, Real Madrid had 8 coaches in 6 years. Mind you these coaches coached star-studded teams with some record signings (Zidane, Ronaldo da lima, Figo, Beckham, Van Nisterooy, CR7, Kaka and Co) and could not reach the Semis since 2003. In fact they went out in the 2nd round 5 years in a row. So Real Madrid more or less was a paper tiger living on past glory. So taking them to three consecutive semis was significant progress. Even Perez admitted that Mourinho left Real Madrid much better than he met it.The coaches that came after Mourinho built on his work. It's easier make a team that's already good enough to make the semis, winners than taking one not good enough to make the quarters to the promise land

Just when I was beginning to think you truly understand football.

The Galacticos era had so much flop and one mighty one was a star studded side with individual talents. They never played as a team, save for the time they defeated an Italian team 4-1. I can't really recall the team now but that was the only match I watched in 2002 that gave me the feeling that these guys played as a team.

Perez signed Kaka but Mourinho managed him and he ended up being a flop.

The Mourinho team had fair success with goals but Ancelotti came in to win the the Champions League, with Mourinho's same team. I hope this is not too difficult to understand now?

For sure. Guardiola is quite vindictive as Mourinho and both don't mind chasing after players and humiliating them wherever they go.

For Guardiola, he had his fair chance with fate but I don't see it ever happening again.

He should try winning the Premier League first before coming to talk about winning the Champions League and a possible treble.

Lol. Which Ronaldinho? Van Bommel did what in Peps team? I wonder the Pep Guardiola's Barcelona team that Ronaldinho and Van Bommel played for.

Forget it bro. As for Guardiola's success in Barcelona, he was the architect. Barcelona was already on a path to doom when he came and revamped the squad.

Remember Rijkaard went two seasons trophyless before Guardiola came? And immediately they started winning again with a new team. Isn't that ingenious?

As for Bayern, he left as the best manager in Bundesliga history. Fact!

In Guardiola’s first season at the club, Bayern went undefeated in their first 28 matches and won 19 straight at one point.

Only once did they concede more than one goal in that span and they had a goal difference of 66. By the time they finally lost, on April 5, they had already clinched the league, having become the first team in history to win the Bundesliga in March.

Same trend continued in the 2nd and 3rd seasons. Guardiola broke all the records in the Bundesliga. Winning 8 trophies and got to the semi finals of the Champions League on 3 consecutive occasions. He was only stopped by better Spanish teams at that moment. Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

If you say he was a failure because he failed to win the Champions League with Bayern, then no coach on earth should be rated. Because none have won the Champions League in every club they have managed. It's impossible.

To win the Champions League, sometimes you need a bit of luck to avoid some teams at some stages. If you meet better teams, with much more quality players, you will surely bow out irrespective of the coach's tactical nous.

He is currently in his second season in Manchester City, he has overhauled an aged squad once again just like he did at Barcelona, and success is SURE.

You don't dare call Guardiola average, except you are a novice in football.

Goodnight.

Liverpool is Rich. Coutinho is worth more to them than 135 mill.
They are not selling at any price because they want to make impact. If you want coutinho, then send back suarez. The quality lost has to be replaced.

You earned a like from me cstr, but i must tell you L'pool is rich fine n good but don't picture it that way "if you want coutinho send back suarez" No you have an injury prone player worth £135m and you telling me the board wouldn't give it a re-think?

I understand you must be a Reds Fan you don't want him to live but that's the truth bidding £135m for a player that can't play 5 straight matches I'm sure they gonna give it a re-think, in the next 1year he wouldn't worth half of that price.

My point Is Spanish teams has snatched successfully top players who peaked at a young age.

Whereas in Spain, it's difficult to sell young players who already broke in.

This Season UCL gonna be lit cos there's gonna be some interesting fixtures....buh lemme give my tots on the teams that will be d first to be eliminated in each Group...

Group A - Against most people's believe dis group Issa tricky one, buh expect Benfica et United to go through and Basel is also a strong side...So I think CSKA will be dah first to go Home..

Group B - The Bhoys are in for a tough one, so am expecting them to be eliminated first.

Group C - No disputing Qarabag (o di gbose,o dabo) bar a Leicester like Miracle..

Group D - Everybody expects Juve and Barca to move to next round...I think the Greek boys will ja first...

Group E - Maribor (ile lo lo tarara).

Group F - A clumsy group, buh we expect the Citizens under Pep to scale through which leaves Napoli and feyenoord battling for 2nd spot...So I think Donetsk to fall out..

Group G - A tricky group also cos each team have exciting players that can come up big anytime, guys like Mbappe for AsMonaco, Talisca and Quaresma for Besiktas, Keita,Forsberg and Timo for RB...Aboubakar(who would be playing against is former team in Besiktas) for Porto
....Elimination will be between RB et Porto..

Group H - All Hail dah KING #HalaMadrid....u can't but feel sowie for Totteham Hotspur including their Wembley Woes still fell into the same group with the 12 times Ucl champ and B.Dortmund....buh expect Apoel to be gone for Gooooood....

This is my opinion Guys(how u take see am)...

Barca has already bid £135m but from what I just read now, they are stubborn to sell him but would be force to in order to buy Van Djrk from southampton for £70m. They should have a rethink oo because all ex LFC players are advising the board to sell him
' And plus that he's an injury prone player, i have it at the back of my mind they gonna sell. This is a good deal for the Reds they wouldn't want to miss it.

Coutinho when fit add a quality to liverpool that is hard to replace.
Liverppol wants to recapture those glorious years and losing coutinho will not help them in any way. 135mill cash cannot play on the field na.
The only way to replace the lost quality is by sending suarez in return.
Liverpool is ambitious just like barcelona. They even have arguably greater history than barcelona.
i am not a liverpool, i am a chelsea fan.

Liverpool should not sell at any price. Coutinho has a very long contract so the ball is not in his court.
These spanish clubs are used to getting their way using unscrupulous means.
They built their recent European dominance using players from the premier league and weakening the English.
Imagine if Ronaldo, suarez, fabregas, modric, alonso e.t.c, and co had stayed in England.
The likes of Real madrid and Barcelona would be nothing more than a paper tiger.

If what you are proposing were to be the case, those players wouldn't have arrived in England, to begin with.

A terrible team is a terrible team, regardless of the players there. Spanish teams have ideologies that drive their success. How many trophies overall did those players win while playing in the epl?

Speaking of paper weight, more than anyone else, the phrase perfectly captures the EPL teams. Giants on paper, lightweight, toothless bulldogs trophy wise. They have nothing to offer bar the hype.

Which yeye ideology?
When real madrid spend millions signing galaticos every year, is it any wonder they win everything? Even barcelona spend millions blowing everybody out of the water.
If the EPL teams had the same revenue sharing formula like spain, you think spain can compete?
Even right now, manchester united is the richest club in the world, now imagine if they are allowed to negotiate their own TV deal by the FA.
They would buy real madrid and barcelona and use it as their toilet.

It's just like saying van persie was already a pensioner at Arsenal before moving to Man U.

PSG as a team is stronger than barcelona. That is a fact.
The only world class players in barcelona are messi, suarez and busquet.
Now compare to PSG.
Anyway, pray you don't meet them. una go collect.
