Gist on the rest of my twin missionary journey, I was very lucky to get a woman at the airport to add one of my twins to her ticket and she helped me to carry them althru the journey. I called Qatar airways to change my ticket fro 4thsept to 25th aug in us but they said it will cost me 310 dollars, my hubby went to their office in Lagos and changed it with less than 50k. Thanks to all who helped with answers in the time of need especially babatwi and others, hats off to nairaland. Feel free to ask any questions esp those using elpaso

In the spirit of giving back! I learnt a lot here.
Here goes my POE testimony-
I would think that from wat I have been reading here that Houston and Chicago was the worse.i guess my tuts were just speculations! As mine was tough.
I entered LAX thru Lufthansa n it was so long n tiring with the food they shared on the plane that I culdnt eat.so was super hungry n fainting.
There was no preferencial treatment got on the long queue n finally my turn-
Cbp: what r u here for
Me: to hv my baby
Cbp: why
Me: citizenship
Cbp: why
Me: becos I believe my child will hv a better life with dual citizenship , study n all
Cbp: so I want to come n stay here
Me: no
Cbp: let me see your return ticket
Me: showing him
Cbp: how will I pay it me- I have cash
Cbp: how much do you have ,me- 6k and 4k in my account
Cbp: Is nt enuf, Me- my husband will send more if need be
Cbp: where is your husband ,Me: Nigeria
Cbp: so why don't you give birth dere ( I was silence at this point) he wrote something n asked me to follow him, collected my fone n went to the inner room. There I stay for almost 3hrs before I was called. The officer that called me to interview was a furious one becos he just finished racking someone.
2nd Cbp
Cbp: why r you here Me- to hv my baby ( he asked why, I told he the same thing I told the other officer)
Cbp: he sed so I want my child to get free education wen I don't pay my tax. Me- if my child wish he could study in nig
Cbp: how much do you hv ,me - I told him
Cbp: Is smal( He asked again how much my hosp n doc was, I told him, he sed is small)
Cbp: wat do ur husband do, I told him
Cbp: how much does he make , I told him
He asked me to open my fone, he went to where I saved the screenshot from this forum n read everything he went tru all my pictures n text. At this point my heart was beating. I just kept praying( I hv been praying all along)it took him 1hr ,inbtwn he asked abt my doc letter, and whether I informed the embassy.i showed him too. Then he now sed I see u did an extensive research on childbirth( I sed yes sir). He now became calm with me, told the other officer abt me. He ask me wat if I ran into emergency that require moni how will I pay. I told him I won't take Medicaid. He sed I shuldnt bother coming back if i do. Told me to pay all my bills and come with my receipts.

I would say better healthcare and if they insist, I tell them well, its not a bad idea to afford my kid opportunity of dual citizen. It may do them a lot of good in future, in case our country continues in this economic and political instability.

Uzyfine of life!!! i had been wondering what happened to you and how you were able to manage with the twins alone. I'm glad to hear that you got someone to help you with one of the twins (that was a testimony on its own) and that you are back home,we thank the Lord. Wish you all the best in your future endeavors

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please note that there is no legal requirement to inform us that you are seeking to give birth in the United States or that your purpose of travel has changed. The Customs and Border Protection, a branch of USCIS, determines a traveler’s eligibility of entry to the U.S, you should be prepared to demonstrate to the immigration officer at the port of entry why you are seeking medical treatment and that you have logistical and financial plans for the treatment. You should show the border protection agents upon arrival in the U.S. your detailed birth plan, which would include correspondence with your doctor, the cost of the delivery, any receipts showing prepayments for care and evidence that you have the ability to pay for all costs while in the U.S. up to and including your living expenses.

We recommend that you review the regulations on non-immigrant aliens entering the United States for purposes of childbirth at https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/882/~/visit-the-u.s.-while-pregnant-and-the-risks-involved and plan accordingly. Please you should not stay in the U.S. longer than you are permitted by Customs and Border Protection at the port of entry. The Department of Homeland Security at the port of entry will determine your eligibility to enter the United States on any travel.
Dear veegurl was that the response you got from the embassy.

If you choose to give birth in the U.S., we advise you to bring evidence of payment, both when you enter the U.S. on this visit, and at your future U.S. visa interviews.

Sincerely,

I know Abujaniv who is on of the 3 real US embassy visa officers that post on Travel section has CLARIFIED that 'change of intent' letter is of no consequence. None of the embassy's replies to such letters is kept on record. It's a generic response nonspecific. Your admission into the US is at the discretion of CBP at POE so make sure you're prepared.

Congrats and thanks for sharing.

A friend went thru Chicago POE last week and was sent to secondary inspection twice, spending 1hr on each occasion. Surprisingly, she was never asked any question but they just held on to her passport each time and the officer, probably after checking their system, saw no reason to question her, returned her passport and let her go.

The deed has been done. Whether she did it on purposs or not. She still has sometimes before worrying about renewal.
She shouldnt overstay her 6 months though.

No one can guarantee if she will have issues renewing or not.

Once again Truth sets free.

Thats what we preach hereee
