So far and from keen observation..... I have to agree with the bolded. It is funnily very true... amazing.

So let's watch and see shaa..... I am sure he knows the English were always gonna react. Maybe he has another ace up his game or who knows if he had already told them how to go aboit holding off the English via a smokescreen statement from Tammy.

Let us recall keenly He faced same with Iwobi as recently as 2016... so let us see. wink

He's really catching fun right now... I mean AmajuPinnick and he knows what he's doing... Remember first time he mention he's name... The whole of English press catch cold.. And did thesame again.

AmajuPinnick na social media man...

You wanna put aside sentiments when sentiments is all England uses to rate their black players? Rashford is at a traditional club like Man Utd and to top it he is Fully English.... and a strong percentage of the English media is almost always Pro-Man Utd... so why do you think Rashford get all the hypes?? So biko... sentiments follow for Rashford joor. It is not even debatable. wink

And there are some coaches who will definitely pick Tammy over Rashford. Lol....

Even when Nacho was outshining Rashford in stats in less game time did the English media agree that Nacho is the better quality player? abegiii... Rashford's relevance today in the media is based on hypes thanks to the well oiled English media hype machine.

junnyjake:

Sentiments aside!!!

Rashford is not rated higher than Tammy because he's fully English.

Rashford performs relatively well for one of the best teams in the world and the best team in England. I don't see any reasonable coach choosing Tammy over Rashford.

He's also not disappointed with what we've seen so far with the National Team.

Only when Tammy cuts it with Chelsea would he be rated higher (Which I doubt he would )

Above all, he should make a decision that's best for his career.

This was said before Tammy's smokescreen statement....

Martin Keown – I’m A Bit Disappointed In Tammy Abraham Decision To Snub England for Nigeria

Former England international defender Martin Keown has voiced his disappointment over the decision of England Youth International striker Tammy Abraham who has agreed to switch allegiance to Nigeria.

Already Nigeria have started processing his switch and he could make his debut for them in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Algeria, If Nigeria are able to secure qualification with a win against Zambia next month.

On loan to Swansea City from Chelsea, the 19 year old who represented England at the recently concluded European Championship, and even scored for the team last month is widely regarded as one of the finest teen strikers in England at the moment.

Keown while responding to questions on Tackle Keown which was conducted by the Dailmail.co.uk revealed his disappointment in the lad, as he few views him as a prospect who could be of immense important to England in the future.

Read his statement below.

I feel a little bit disappointed by that.

Gareth Southgate will know him well from their time together at the Under-21s. England have put a lot of time and effort into him, and realistically he is only at the start of his career. I don’t know why he feels he has to make that decision right now.

I get it – you have a strong pull from your parents. He was born to Nigerian parents. I’m sure he feels as Nigerian as he does English.

We lost Iwobi to Nigeria as well, Zaha has just started playing for the Ivory Coast.

He’s a huge talent and he’s developing nicely, but he’s still only a young boy. It’s a premature decision. It would be a really disappointing thing for the English FA if he went off and played for Nigeria.

The likes of Abraham, when they go to the big clubs, they become frustrated. He’s now seeing the lights at Swansea, having impressed at Bristol City. He’s now seeing that nothing beats playing.

It makes sense to want to play internationally too. He would have been brought up with the dual nationality. I had the same thing – my parents are Irish. Even to this day I feel as Irish as I do English.

My dad said to me that you play for the country you were born in. He made that decision for me. Who are we to judge Abraham for this? But he does need to be made to feel that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him in terms of England.

Even some English fans are of the opinion that cap-tying players just to prevent other nations like Nigeria or Wales from bagging the players of dual nationality may backfire and will not be in the players' interest for the long run.

They are of the opinion that Those England have plans for should be shown that early enough and not just reacting when Nations come around for them because of dual nationality links.

Ben Woodburn is a case study. Wes Morgan is another. Zaha also. Iwobi yet another. Aina. So many exist. Now it is Tammy.

The English cannot win on this unless Southgate and The FA wanna ruin Tammy's chances of a good long international career. I believe Tammy and his dad are not blind. Any reaction by England now or a little later to wanna cap Tammy is Agbonlahorish... but Pinnick already said, "I know they are talking about him... but I already know what to do"....

This saga go sweet pass Iwobi own oooo.... cheesy I am watching... Meanwhile let us call up Dessers first to serve as dessert... looollll...

Rashford has done enough to capture headlines.

He scored a brace on his first game which was also his first European game.

He went ahead to score another brace on his premier league debut against Arsenal.

Scored on his domestic cup debuts.

His first game for the U21, he scored too, and also for the senior side too.

And he still has not stopped scoring.

Dele Alli has done well, he scored over 20 goals last season, he's getting a fair share of the publicity and he's not fully English.

And for Nacho, timing just wasn't on his side at the time, Rashford would surely dominate the headlines.

He didn't get playing time as much as he wanted last year, had guardiola given Nacho more game time, he'd have been in the news for a while.

Good... then let the English keep Rashford and let Tammy be naa.... looolll... abi no be so? cheesy

Tammy's career has always been about goals at every level from the youth teams to The English U-19s to English U-21s to The English Championship and now in the EPL on loan at modest Swansea... Lad is goals himself. If Rashford had his goal scoring stats they will call him Pele.... lol...

Rashford has done okay to make the headlines... nothing spectacular of note. When Nacho was even bossing things as the EPL's deadliest forward, the English Media didn't talk much about it. They just turned their eyes but if that was Rashford... my goodness... hyperbole would have been redefined. #Fact

So since The English got Rashford... they got nothing to worry about naa... this just shows their hypocrisy.

P.S: Dele Alli na special case. England lacks a good CAM now outside Alli.... even Barkley is dual national (has some Nigerian blood thru his granny i think) but is more English and Alli trumps him. Since Lampard and Gerrard retired... no other midfielder comes close to their quality except Alli. So the English had no choice and Alli will surely keep shining for England... in fact he is their best player before you name Harry Kane sef.

Gabby Jesus is currently the EPL's deadliest forward followed by Aguero and then Iheanacho based on Goals per mins ratio so far for players who have scored 10 goals or more but a very good percentage of the English media will hardly talk about it because He is at Man City and not Man Utd... England's favorite traditional club. It is just how things are now Sir. cheesy

Y all dis fuss abt tammy Abraham, not dt he's coming down to win the world cup,we re d one helping his situation and not vice versa like most comments here portray
If he likes, let him go and play englamd, who cares, last last, dey would use him in one or two friendly/qualifier matches, and dts all

Cos d British guys I knw, will always prefer a full blown half fit British player to any averagely gud half black British wc Tammy belongs to
Dele Ali case is just diff, because he's exceptional at d moment and dey dont av a full British close to his talent, let alone of cin some1 better Dan dele Ali,if not
Once dey c a full british substitute as gud as Dele Ali in d same midfield role,he's international career would start to nose dive cos dey would always support deir own b4 Any player with dual nationality.

but why must mr pinick blew his whistle before a concrete arrangement is complete? the glory he supposedly has gotten beforehand is the same glory he would still get when every is finalized .

Rashford is in that top club because he's fully English.....

Tammy should realise that they will throw him under a bus if they have to at any point, at least Nigerians love their diaspora babies. Ask Moses, Iwobi, Balogun and Ekong

I won't be surprised if we cap Solanke first.

This might just be a diversion and before the media knows anything about it, Solanke's international future will be like 70-80% dusted thereby giving the media no time to block the Solanke move

He didn't get playing time as much as he wanted last year, had guardiola given Nacho more game time, he'd have been in the news for a while.
how can you cite Dele Alli as someone who is no fully English?

The minute you agree to play internationally for any country, you are fully from there. Dele Alli is as fully English as Iwobi and Moses are fully Nigerian

Please, never mention Dele as an example in this kind of thing.

And once again, Rashford's hype is because he is fully English. Tammy BROKE A RECORD in the Championships last season, do you think he would have been sent on loan if he was fully English? Has Rashford broken any record anywhere?

If Tammy was Fully British, he would have been USHERED into Chelsea's first team this season and nobody would buy Morata. The press would have slaughtered Conte for sending him out on loan

Why are you talking as if you are unaware of the politics in British football? As I dey read this your Tammy vs Rashford argument, e dey pain me.

Rashford is not better than Tammy. Put Rashford in that Swansea team and let's see how awesome he is, switch places and let's see if Tammy will not equal Lukaku's record by now
