Forget that thing.

Those who had been up for eviction would surely have an edge, you know why?

They have established fan-base who were dedicated in keeping them in the show and it would be difficult far jahtel to get a slice off that.

That's quite true, but I believe there are still many neutrals who have been voting based on performance, like myself.

I'm prepared for the worst on Sunday, Ebube might just surprise everybody and win. grin

TeamPato had the worst performance, I expected more from syemca, Bada will go higher even though he had been eliminated. Afolayan is better than Ebube.

It seems you are underestimating Syemca, that guy has the ladies votes and his brother would mobilize votes for him.

If they do it like last year
- Top 4 - one from each team - My prediction -
*Jahtell
*Wow grin
*Syemca
*Yimika

I just feel like Wow might just oust JDess, everybody in my house likes him and I guess he has that effect on people and that his Ejajo song choice was like a masterstroke.

I'm a big fan of syemca, but the song he choose to perform look awkward to me. He should have gone for a killer song. Well Nigerian will decide.

The Voice's style of eliminating many people at once is quite annoying. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this season was too short. Only three live performances and then the finale. We haven't seen so much of the contestants. They wasted time with the blind auditions and battles.
.

The most painful part is that they dont even get to say their farewells on stage.
On the brighter side, those that have acting skills might get roles on Africa magic productions like Arese, Chike and Nonso.

Maybe they should select songs on their behalf.

Imagine somebody singing Michael Jacksons song just because he likes M.J.

In my opinion, song selection for this season was poor.

There should be a week dedicated to Nigerian songs. Still on song selection.

That might be true and to some point subjective.

The psychology of an average Nigerian voter does not work that way.

Bada was very much too comfortable and that would be mistaken for complacency even though he's not. Anyone who knows music would appreciate the work he does behind the scenes.

Idyl shows more energy and dramatics in his performance, that's what voters like.

I'd use last years' edition project fame as an example, Kitay was favorite to win, In fact I never saw okiemute winning. Kitay's performance at the rock night and what he did with Timaya's "I concur" won him fans.

Okiemute upped things when she did 2 baba's bless you, phyno's fada fada. And her own originally composed song. Kitay just didn't measure up to that energy she brought and he ended up finishing even behind Elizabeth.

I see Jdess going as far as the top 3, because she's wise, she knows what she's doing and she appeals to different set of music lovers.
Okiemute was the best last season project fame... She was on fire right from the semi final show

It seems you aint aware of the finale format on VON. Each team gets a rep for the top 4 of which my prediction might see:
1. J'dess {had a sultry & 'Nigerian thing' finale performance alongside her popularity from winning a Destiny Child show at a time might see her surprisingly clinching the win}
2. Syemca {his last two liveshow performance alongside his brother's influence(Chike) is good enough for him}
3. IDYL {Jahtell is the best singer for the show no doubt but the fans here are what matters. If IDYL could edge Bada over fanbase to clinch top 8 then I'm guessing he might as well edge Jahtell but I would personally hope Jahtell wins since the more deserving Bada was edged out}
4. Yimika {this should be next close call & I think its a 50-50 chance between Yimika & Ebube because Ebube tho started below average but has shown steady growth in the competition which is commendable but since its based on fanbase, Yimika might just be a little lucky over Ebube}
The funny thing with the remaining four is 2 of the 4 left might have higher votes than the 2nd & 3rd runners up.
5. Wow
6. Chris Rio
7. Jahtell
8. Ebube

Nah you aint the only one. Last season had like 6 liveshows, I really don't get what the rush this season was about. The show ended almost immediately it began. We honestly didn't see much of the contestants.

Listening to Syemca's performing unsteady, all I could see was Mo Adeniran from this year's The voice UK. Man that guy was fire.

I knew he tried, but comparing him to Mo, you should know how I feel.

I was wishing we had a throaty singer like Jacob banks or Adeniran this year, but it's all good.
U are so right bro. Syemca did not even come close to Mo's performance. That was the same way I felt watching Ifeoma's rendition of 'Rise up' that was impeccably performed by Angelica Hale of AGT. Ifeoma rendition felt like remix of a remix sad

I think they were working on a tight budget. I can't remember if it was the same way last season, the contestants who were up for eviction returned on stage with the same clothes they used the previous week.

I blamed myself for watching Mo's performance first. Lolzz! I guess I was being unfair to him though.

You are on point. The day Jdess won votes over Arewa, I went to her Instagram page. Saw Phyno, Ik Ogbonna etc. She s an artiste and also and actress and has a strong following in the east. She might just pull an 'Arese' tonight. Can't wait to see the winner.

Meanwhile this is me looking at the organisers..only 3 live shows...

I actually liked Pere' s voice the most, but he wasn't a great performer.

The day he sang Sam smith's writing on the wall, I was thoroughly impressed.

I was touched by that Sam Smith's performance too.

I was hoping for Chris Rio to sing Sam Smith' s writing on the wall because his falsetto is lit.

I don't think we should expect Project fame this year.

It's almost October and no news yet.

That show even needs rebranding as Mtn had succeeded in turning it into a money making machine instead of a true talent search.

Most of the song selections weren't poor.
They were terrible.
They should borrow a leaf from the US versions wer d contetants pick their own songs in d early stages bt they get to be guided on d right song choice once they go Live.
I'd also recommend a total overhaul of the coaching Panel. Those guys r not just good enough.

Coming to who deserves to win based on what the show's about, with Glorie gone,ill have to give it to Jahtell. Girl's got pipes, menn.
If I had my way tho, I'd pick one of my personal favourites, J'dess, who's d most creatively unique among the pack.

Special thanks to all yall for keeping this thread alive.
Una too much!
