Hello house. My Uber App has refused to open since yesterday, I still can't figure out what the problem is. I've restarted the phone (Samsung GT 19082), uninstalled and reinstall the Uber App still no luck. I tried logging in on my tecno phone and it opened but like they advised during training I can't use a tecno phone.
What do I do?

GO TO SETTINGS THEN APPLICATION MANAGER AND CLICK ON THE APP AND FORCESTOP IT

I carried a Taxify rider yesterday from pelican hotel around chezron lekki to Maryland . The fare was 3300, we ended the trip at first bank Maryland before Maryland mall. The rider told me to wait for him to get money from the bank. From there the guy disappeared. Called him but he was cutting the call and refused to pick. people there called him with their number and he picked but did not talk. Please will Taxify pay me the money? Thanks for your reply.

On uber if you write a repot they'll pay. Font know of taxify. Still write a report and email the trip details to them so they can block his account.

Thanks, but if I don't get my money from Taxify, That means I can have serious issue with any rider who refuse to pay me. I will not let them go.

Thanks. If the money has gone then I just hope I don't have a problem with any rider who refused to pay. Thanks.

I have learnt from your experience I will not let them go or ask them to leave a phone behind if they plan on using the atm where I can't monitor them visually.

it has happened to me several times and Taxify did nothing about it, one of them was even a foreigner (white guy). Taxify did not respond to my mail, it was very painful but there is nothing I could do about it. My advice is don't fight any rider that refuses to pay, it could be very dangerous

Pelican hotel and other hotels in chevyview are home of idiots. I dont pick riders there esp those ones heading to d mainland, they wont pay and u cant trace them. Since last mth, i startd asking all my riders where they are going to... and am doing well now.
I picked two guys frm zasari hotel in chevyview on taxify but did not ask them their destination. We got to surulere to ojuelegba to mushin then iyanu ipaja. They told me they had no money. Their guys wanted to even rob me d little i med. People advised me to go. Hm; m
Another time frm chevyview i picked two guys to festac. It was a smooth ride till we got to cele. They started tapping my back while i didnt lock d car. I apologized and sensed danger. I drove them stregith to festac police station and stoped inside. I called one sars guy that the guys in my car were criminals. It took them almost 3hrs to get my money.
I was in surulere wen i got a request to pick a percel frm peace mass in orile to oriental hotel. I packed my car in a bank and took okada to the place. B4 i got to peace, d guy was standing beside peace waiting. D rider called me again to give 4k to d guy which i did. I went to my car and started a jorny. I got to oriental but d rider was no where. I called and will ask me to wait that he was in a crucial meeting lol. I decided to open d percel hmmm it was filled with children old books.
So be careful when u pick riders. I must ask u ur destination b4 u see me.

I confermed them and I said the door is open.when they enter said thy don't have cash that thy will av to transfer to me and I 'll balance them if there money is not up to that amount. I gave them my fone, they pressed a code on my fone after two min they returned my fone and say they are not going again

I've got a 2009, 1.8ltr engine Honda Civic for sale. Interior is spik and span body is very very decent for Uber/taxify. Engine and gear excellent, mileage is just under 60k km.
If you're interested, Please drop a mail at terrence15115@gmail.com and we can take it from there.
Price is 1.35. Thanks.

As for me, most times it depends on a rider manner of approach and amount, but most times I threaten and they pay, seized a girl's glasses once, she paid after 3 days plus transport fare

With 700k you can get a Nissan 2003 model car but you still need to add about 100k to love-vendor to your taste. Ordinary, 800k will fetch you a clean car.

A colleague driver on told me that if I am to use Taxify then I should switch-on my Mafia mode. Criminals patronize Taxify more so be tough. I have a weapon in my car, by the driver's side just in case. I had almost been strangled, thank God for creating confusion that caused my escape that night.

In this business you have to set ur rules.

1. If on the 1st approach the person sounds rude, I bcom careful.
2. If group of men looking irresponsible, I make car excuse or emergency.
3. I arrive at ur place and u take more time than necessary- customer no show(cancel).
4.We are on a trip and u start talking funny, police station case.
5. I don't feel comfortable with u as a rider? Get out of my car.

Even if Uber or Taxify wants to make my picking a rider a do or die affair. I have the right to choose life. Nigeria is not America, the harsh economy and the evil in the black Man's mind is inconceivable. U need to look at the faces and hear what comes off the mouth of some riders it shows desperation and frustration.

Why after taking 12mins to locate you in your pigeonhole with terrible roads and wait for additional 10mins before getting onboard, you still have the guts to talk down on me and rate me low?

My dear Nigeria is not America, so set your rules to survive or you'll be eaten.

The 2003 nissan you want to buy better not be an Almera or Primera. You won't drive for more than a week before your ratings sink you.

I don't support the way the drivers are cutting corners, but uber really needs to increase its fares or this things will continue. I once picked up a rider from international airport at 10pm to Magodo phase 2 end only to be given 1300 after 25% commission and 400 naira in toll.
fares
I was really down when I saw the fare, but what could I do, even the fuel burnt was almost more than that if not more, I drive for myself so no problem took it as a personal loss. What happens to a driver that has 40k to deliver weekly?
It's either they find a way to force the partners to reduce their cut or uber also reduces its commission and increases fares if not, more people will continue to lament.
Lastly the average Nigerian is greedy. They all want 2010 and above cars yet they want to keep paying the ridiculous uber fares its not possible.
If you buy a car of 5 million at 90k per week after deduction how many years will you use to refund the money if it's a loan?
