1. We need a name for it. .... I need your suggestions for this please .
Let's not put nairaland in the name please. We strongly dissociate this with nairaland cos the rules do not solicit begging.

2. I emphasized on no begging yesterday cos it would be embarrassing if no one responded to your pleas. Also every single one of us has a pressing need and may not always be in the position to give.
Pity stories will be jumped over. Let's do this logically so that we can last longer.
So I will suggest that if you have a pressing need, you pm me. At least 3 days before the day with what you need, whether financial (exact amount), free skills (someone can offer to teach you for free or at a token), food (someone next to you could be of help) or whatever you need.

I don't know if we have a bank officer here that could perhaps open an account for us. All monies go there. The only thing I want to get is the alerts and I promise monthly update will be given. We will need to nominate someone who would do transfers.
Once you send what you pressingly need to me, I'll forward it here without your name (cos you fit don offend or people might want to do favouritism (which is very normal), once we check account balance and see that we have enough, we request for your account details and send what we can afford (might not reach what you need o) to you. You send a thank you mail, we screenshot it with your moniker and send all details here after the help. We would do this only monthly except in cases of emergency(in that case, we would need some to offer to verify)
No one will be forced to donate anything, free will is the order of the day.


3. Anybody can donate but not anybody can receive.
If you've not been on the Preggy or Newborn thread for at least 6 months you aren't eligible to all we have to offer.
Not the cash or kind.
Not even the business of buying used items.
We're transacting with people we know. So if you want to enjoy the perks of being a non-peeper or a silent member then it would take 6 months for you to gain our trust. But we would gladly accept the help you give, or buy from you.
TTC moms can join in all except for financial help or baby things. We would gladly accept all the help you can offer though. Please don't be offended, we're trying to slim down where the money goes to.


4. You can put up whatever for a token or for free.
Used baby clothes or shoes
Used baby accessories.
Left over produce(coconut oil, shea butter, diaper cream, diapers, nipple cream, fenugreek)
Mom wears or shoes
Men's wear or shoes
Household items (new or used)
Skills acquisition. (online or offline, paid or free)
Services
Whatever you have to offer.

I think since money is involved, in other to be sure the donation goes to the right hand, it will be better if any means of identification can be provided b4 giving out e.g ID card, Int pasport, etc...to avoid people with 2-3 Monika's receiving double share..

Having worked with Tehn and some NGO's offline, I suggest no bank accounts. The pros at this stage far outweighs the cons, bureaucracy,
