From Patrick Owomoyela, Nedum Onuoha, Sidney Sam, Charlton Cole, Denis Aogo,, the litany is endless like a bottomless pit.

I get ashamed when I see people listing players who aren't interested in playing for the Super Eagles in their dream starting eleven for the World Cup.

The NFF should kick start a programme with a good 10 year plan to develop the talent pool at home. This was exactly what Belgium did after getting knocked out in the group stage of the Euros they Co hosted with Holland.
Belgium used to be European whipping boys. They simply got to work and developed from grassroot and inculcated a playing pattern and 4-3-3 formation from the U12's.. Today, they go into the world cup as one of the favorites.

If we can build a solid structure at home, our national team will be better for it and these foreing born players will beg to play for us.

It's your quality that us important the Chelsea youth teams have players from all over the world. Indeed Lyon's Traore is a full international for Burkina Faso and had his first cap at 15 when still able U16 player at Chelsea.

By the way our boys still face undue racism and discrimination in the UK as well. Admittedly it's not as pronounced in the city Region of London. But come up to North England and you will be shocked.

Unfortunately Wolfsburg is a mere shadow of it former self. Narrowly missed relegation last season and they are from being a top team anymore.

Nationality has nothing to do with it. From my perspective if seeing Traore as a teenager for Chelsea. He just didn't have the physicality at that time to impose himself on the highly competitive and physically tasking English EPL game.

But he has developed more so than Solanke in my opinion by playing in a more technically adapt league. That is suited to his style of play because in England he was getting bullied. Unlike Tega who was never bullied in a game.

Osimhen is operating on past youthful glory as an U17 player, which is essentially small boys football. That as it stands is archived history of plus two years ago. No longer tenable or relevant for current assessment.

Currently, Solanke is the best player in the just recently concluded U20 World cup an accolade that is much closer to the professional senior game.

Solanke was already a regular on the Eredivisie as a 17 year old. Add to that was winning cups for Chelsea as the best youth team arguably in Europe but definitely in England.

Solanke is not just a bench warmer but a fully fledged senior team member for Liverpool.

Osimhen is struggling to warm the bench at Wolfsburg this is the reality. As it stands has he played up to one hour of football this season for struggling and lowly Wolfsburg.

This may be hard for some to digest but Osimhen will not enter the youth team of any top EPL club as it stands. If Indeed he could make the youth team of a Championship side that would be more probable but not certain.

So let's have no doubt Solanke is far ahead of Osimhen in every respect.

Highly rated Wolfsburg defender Felix Ohis Uduokhai has turned down a fresh approach from Nigeria to be a part of their squad to the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

“I played less in my last year at City because they’re a top club with lots of players. I also had an injury that held me back," he said in a press conference.


"What happened last season is in the past now. Roma is my present and I can’t wait to get started.

“I had four fantastic years at Manchester City. They’ve improved a lot in recent years and I hope to repeat similar success at Roma” the 29 year old added.
