I'm trying hard to not think this happened after owner, rewire and mechanic didn't know whose job it is to fix fuel pump cos this thread came up after the fuel pump thread I like how his mecho is urging him on when canoe reach middle of river na person wey get life jacket go survive we are waiting 7 Likes |

Brake master and servo 6 intake manifold 7 injector rail and nozzles 8 engine mounts 9 cowl 10 wiper motor 11 washer fluid reservoir 12 intake air filter box 13 intake air hose 14 throttle body 15 alternator 16 vacuum and evap lines and valves... @OP, the response to your first question is YES. As for the cost, NOBODY can give it to you online. Golf 4 parts are fairly cheap, but if this restoration is not done properly, then you just signed a contract with your village people. Do you have an electrician and mechanic who is experienced with VW products? If no, then consider selling the car as suggested by Gazzuzz. The vehicle in question is not your regular Toyota corolla. |

But the real tragedy comes when an adult is scared of the Light This gurus gave you a list of things that needs to be changed from the picture you posted. And yoh think they are exagerating claiming Mr Know all. You opened this thread to seek for advice if this project is Reasonable or not. Your mechanic is pushing you into a pit. Because he knows when you start spending money, there is no turning back, Watch out for series of phone calls " Oga e be like say this part no good , we need to buy another one. dancok: Why are there no elites? Majority of the advice given is to cut your loss and get over the car. The first thing you were supposed to do was to analyze and share the cause of the fire, discuss extent of damage and then estimate cost repair, viability... to decide if it's worth repairing. 7 Likes 1 Share |

dancok: Bros I can assure u That no one is mocking u. we r all analysing the feasibility of ur project! that voice in ur head concurring to the mechanic's preaching that the vehicle can be restored needs to be authenticated. mech is preaching to empower his pocket and that voice in ur head is trying to lead u I to an unplanned and unpleasant journey. except ur definition of restoration is different from mine then I think u should sit down and think this through. consider the pros and cons. if u sell as is u would make more than the 50k u posted earlier and most importantly have peace of mind (nothing compares to that) now if u start fixing can u cough out about 500k to RESTORE ur vehicle and if u decide to cut corners and mech says "this one no burn finish, make we fix am back" will u have peace of mind while driving said vehicle? wen u have thoroughly thought these through u can come to a conclusion on ur own. my two cents? sell "as is" ... remember vehicle in question is a vw known extensively for it's unique electrical palava wen abused. 5 Likes |
