He is playing in the 2nd division in Denmark. Played in the lower divisions in Brazil.

which is way better than the league in china. yes 2nd trier in Denmark but he is a Brazilian?/ we need that input. Rohr should invite him and give him a try, Afterall we are looking for the best hands.

I have said it time and time again that Simon is not an intelligent winger. Yes, he works so hard and covers the defence, but that connection in the final third is just not there.

We can praise him all we want for his defensive qualities but we need to realize that he is first of all an attacking player.

Exactly.

2nd division in Denmark is not better than China.. Denmark first division is not great either. The quality of players in China is far better than the first division of Denmark.

Nigeria are going to parade their top stars when they take on Argentina in a high profile friendly game on the 14th of November next month in Russia.

Argentina have already released the list of foreign based players who are expected to play in the game with top stars like Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, Paulo Dyabala and Mauro Icardi all listed by coach Jorge Sampaoli.

Nigeria who are going to be in action against Algeria on the 10th of November in a dead rubber World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie in Algiers, are expected to also line up their top stars for the game.

” It’s going to be an enlarged squad of players, but barring injuries or failure to recover on time, all top names are going to be in the list of players, because the game against Argentina will help us see how far we have come”, a backroom staff of the team told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” The likes of Victor Moses, Leon Balogun, John Obi Mikel, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina among others are going to be in the team for the game. Some will play against Algeria while some are going to be for the Argentina game”, he concluded.

Iwobi is too vital for Nigeria and I expect the coach to find a way to always play him in top matches even if it's to the detriment of moses simon..
Moses simon is bench material no offense. So yal should stop hyping the nigger cos he ain't worth the hype.
Echiejile shouldn't start any of our matches, he has really depreciated.

I hope Rohr changes formation against Algeria. We need to ditch this current formation and should test run another formidable one against Algeria and try to perfect it in friendlies like Argentina. World cup isn't for kids, we can aim high, and we have what it takes to go as far as winning the world cup tongue ; if we have the right winning mindset grin

Stop beaten around the bush. My point is clear. 8.4 million pounds was initially tabled but Gent rejected the cash. Simple.

I can give you more than 5 credible source to back it. The one I gave you, does it look like Wikipedia?

Exclusive – Brighton’s Third Bid For Super Eagles Ace Moses Simon Rejected By Gent

August 18, 2017

Newly promoted English Premier League side Brighton have seen a third bid for Nigerian forward Moses Simon rejected by Belgium side Gent, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Brighton have failed with two bids for the Nigeria international but they were confident of landing their man with their last bid of around 10 million pounds, but Gent tuned it down.

Gent are demanding a fee of close to 15 million pounds for the 22 year old who has been at the club for three seasons, and was at a time heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

It is believed the club won’t be making another bid for Simon ‎as they have moved on to other targets but the forward is still on the radar of fellow Premier League side West Brom.

He has just two years left on his contract with the Belgium side, and despite his non committal towards extending his contract at the club, Gent are not willing to lower their asking price from interested clubs.

Ola Aina, Mikels, Awoniyi, Simon Named To Nigerian Team Of The Week

Published: October 23, 2017

Team of the Week : Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule on the Nigerian players that impressed the most in the leagues this past weekend.

Goalkeeper

Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United): The Super Eagles goaltender has been imperious between the sticks for the Chilli Boys and helped them to a 2-1 win over Cape Town City in the ABSA Premiership on Sunday.

After posting a clean sheet in his last outing against Maritzburg United, the Olympic bronze medallist was breached once this time but ensured his side went home with all three points.

Defenders

Ola Aina(Hull City): Aina was on parade for Hull City as Fraizer Campbell's 78th minute goal consigned Barnsley to their sixth defeat of the season in a tight encounter at the Oakwell stadium.

Aina had been ever present at the backline for the The Tigers this season and once again repaid the faith shown on him with an impeccable showing to keep Barnsley at bay.

Felix Uduokhai (Wolfsburg): The German-Nigerian defender had just about pipped the duo of Bursaspor's William Troost-Ekong and Standard Liege's Uche Agbo to a berth here after his stoppage time header had helped salvage a point for Wolfsburg against Hoffenheim in a 1-1 draw.

The 20-year-old connected superbly with a Daniel Didavi's cross to head past Baumann and pull his side level at the death, cancelling out Kieran Demirby's penalty effort.

Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes):The Nigeria international got off the mark in the French top-flight as Claudio Ranieri’s men eased to a comfortable 2-1 win against Guingamp at the Stade de la Beaujoire.

The defender put his side in front nine minutes in,putting in some gut-wrenching defending while going the full ninety as well.

Tyronne Ebuehi (Ado Den Haag): Tyronne Ebuehi was at his defensive best as Ado Den Haag returned to winning ways with a scintillating 2-0 win away to VV-Venlo in the Holland Eredivisie.

The 21-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game, helping his side's rearguard to nullify the attacking threats of the opposition as Alfons Groenendijk's men recorded their fourth win in nine games.

Midfielders

Mikel Agu (Bursaspor): Agu went the entire duration of the game in the goalless draw against Sivasspor, putting in a good performance in the middle of the park though they could only muster a stalemate.

The Porto loanee was brilliant as usual for the Green Crocodiles and even went on a few goal-ward forays. He was cautioned in the 59th minute for his troubles.

Mikel John Obi (Tianjin Teda): The Super Eagles skipper was yet again influential for the Tianjin Tigers as they ran out comfortable winners over Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

The much-needed win was their fifth of the season and it barely managed to lift the Uli Stielike-led side onto 14th on the 16-team log.

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester): Ndidi put in a classy display for the Foxes as they recorded just their second win of the season in a 2-1 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

The tenacious midfielder was diligent in his tackling, breaking up play and regaining possession brilliantly for Mike Appleton's men as they toppled the Swans in Wales.

Strikers

Moses Simon (Gent) : In the Belgian topflight, Super Eagles winger Moses Simon struck his first league goal for Gent in a 1-1 draw with Kortrijk on Saturday.

The 22-year-old put the Buffaloes upfront in the 60th minute after some silky footwork but the lead was short-lived as Kortrijk came roaring back through Herve Kage’s 76th minute equaliser as both sideswere forced to share spoils.

Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai) : Ighalo had been simply impressive for his Chinese side after another awe-inspiring display in a 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning in a Chinese Super League encounter.

The Super Eagles striker helped himself to a goal and an assist as the Changchun side steamrolled to another victory. It was the Nigeria international's 15th goal of the league season.

Taiwo Awoniyi (Royal Excel Mouscron): The Liverpool loanee was on target but could not prevent his side from falling to a 3-1 home defeat to Standard Liege.

The 20-year-old striker had pulled his side level with his 49th minute effort after Sebastian Locigno early opener but further goals from Orlando Sá and Edmilson Junior left his team reeling.

For the youngster, it was his fifth goal in ten appearances for the Belgian side.

Moving away from value to the pedigree of club that rushed for his signature.

Gent is very greedy. You wan sell 15 million, at the same time, you wan decide how dem go sell. undecided

I hope he moves in January but Moses Simon na obedient player ooo. shocked shocked grin

Sell on clause delays Moses Simon’s Monaco move

High flying French Ligue 1 side Monaco are presently locked in talks with Gent of Belgium over a possible deal in the summer for dashing winger Moses Simon, according to Belgium publication Voetbalkrants.com.

Monaco have resigned to losing some of their top stars after a stellar season in France and Europe, with the team currently leading the Ligue 1 table and also through to the semi-final of the UEFA Champions League.

The club views Simon as a player who can replace some of their stars who are expected to leave in the summer, and suggestions are that the deal is almost near completion as both parties are eager for the move to go through.

Presently what is holding the deal is a compromise on what will be the sell on clause due to Gent, if the 23-year-old leaves Monaco in a few years time, and the duration which the clause will last.

Reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com sources have it that Monaco are willing to pay £12m for his services, plus the promise of first team football which will sway him their way ahead of English Premier League side West Brom who are also interested in his services.

Simon wants to represent Nigeria at next summer World Cup in Russia if Nigeria qaualifies and will only accept a move to a team that will assure him of their plans for him as regards playing time.
