Kayode the undisputed man of the match. Him no even say make him pity his younger bro in Uzoho Chai. Kayode's electric pace would make faint hearted defenders and goal keepers pee their pants. Dude is a pest, a bad thorn in the buttocks. Kayode is really hungry for the World Cup. Dude even tackles as though he was a defensive player. We need him

Uzoho looks the real deal. Dude is tall, good reflexes, strong grips, reads the game well to know when to come out and when not to. Comfortable with the ball at his feet . Above all he is a confident young goalie. He was tall during the U17 days but definitely not this tall. He has that physique that makes good goalies. The future looks bright.

A bittersweet match for me. Would have been happier if it ended goalless with kayode the liveliest outfield player and uzoho the goalie with the highest and best saves. Lol i kinda sounded selfish and too patriotic there huh? Chai what would you have me say?

I pray alampasu displaces the first choice at fareinse too. Ezenwa's rumored move to OGC Nice looks like it was made up and will remain a rumour until everything is done and dusted, I wish him the best.

My three picks for the world cup remains, enyeama, ikeme and uzoho but if ikeme fails to recover in time, then enyeama, uzoho and Ezenwa would be our best bet.

So, can Uzoho displace anyone of Akpeyi, Alampasu or Ajiboye for one of the 3 GK slots?

First of all, the coach said Akpeyi is his 3rd choice, therefore Akpeyi is out of the equation and Ikechuckwu Ezenwa is now in to compete with the rest.

From what my eyes saw this night, if I am the coach I will bring in Uzoho because he is naturally good.

Rohr may have said Akpeyi is his 3rd choice keeper. But what happens to Ezenwa, who has played 270 minutes of WC qualifiers? I think it will be harsh to drop him, absent a drastic loss in form and/or injury.

Though I didn't see the first half but after I watched the second half there were some things I noticed about our two players.

Uzoho didn't get the first choice slot by gamble, he is obviously good.

I noticed his height is imposing and could intimidate some players. We need this kind of goalkeeper in the National team not all these short and good for nothing we currently have. I know Alampasu is a little bit taller than him but the rest are kukutes.

I noticed he is also good with the ball on his feet and he can pinpoint and connect with a long ball. This is the type Barcelona would love to have.

When he holds the ball, he is confident and he knows how to handle pressure.

His sharp reflexes didn't go unnoticed when he saved deflected shots twice.

I believe by the time he plays regularly this season he will gain more experience and if he plays more than 20 games, Bros, this guy will be my number one choice going to the world Cup except Enyeama comes to the party. grin

On Kayode, he is among selfish players. I don't think he can score except he does solo runs to score because those his teammates will rather balloon the ball to the stand than to give him a pass.

If Kayode was as selfish as they were today, I no think dey can score the second goal.

From what i have seen, certainly... Good fundamentals, confident and decent reflexes.

Alampasu has not done anything professionally. Akpeyi does not inspire confidence. Ajiboye only edges him in experience.

I think, he can get the rookie GK spot for the WC...

Haba! Take it easy on Alampasu. At least, he done play for Portuguese 3rd tier league na, and sometimes made bench in the 1st tier Portuguese league. grin

Kayode... He needs to score soon though..

How can he score when he surrounded by selfish teammates?

Didn't you see how the guy with the Afro hair choosed to shot twice when he was just suppose to give a simple pass for Kayode to score?

Since the coach listed him and Ikechuckwu Ezenwa as the third and fourth choice goalkeepers respectively. It is normal he takes the first spot when the other two ahead of him are not around.

L. Messi(3pts)
G. Buffon(1pt)

lol.

epl based nat. team captains were more unbiased with their votes than la liga based captains.

Honestly i don't have any choice for now coz a lot of things needs to be sorted out before WC no thanks to Ikeme health, his health really affect d team.

Enyeama is coming from retirement and he still need to show us is still d same Vincent.

Ezenwa rating is high now.He has d confidence and composure of a good keeper but Argentina match may make or mar his chance as number 1 choice.

Akpeyi has d experience but need to work on his confidence as a keeper, though Rohr rate him highly.

Uzoho i watched today deserves a call up ASAP coz he has d confidence and read d game very well.

Allampasu need a chance like Uzoho in his club, though not new to Rohr coz he always have d opportunity to be in camp.

Ajiboye is a good keeper no doubt but need a bigger stage to show us what he can do,hope he w get his chance during CHAN,likely Ezenwa w moved in January transfer window.

Thumb up for him(Uzoho) and Ajiboye when it comes to ball distribution with their feet.

I witnessed this in Uzoho game today,he was very solid when it comes to ball distribution.

Also i noticed d same thing in Ajiboye against Guinea.

It takes just one game for players to warm their way into our hearts. And in as little as one game they can break our heart. Hence, I'm not speaking about WC list yet. Congrats Kayode for the well deserved MOTM. You deserve a recall for Algeria/Argentina.
Also, Uzoho, if not for experience, I will say you are the most tried and tested considering you are the only naija goalie that play in the top 5 leagues now, pending when Enyeama fully returns. You too have confirmed that you deserve a call up and a debut for your fine showing tonight.

Now back to the real talk, who are the regulars we need for our two upcoming ties, and which players deserve a first/second chance?

I believe Nwakaeme also made a good case today in this respect.

I'm just fantasizing an attacking line up of Kayode, Onyekuru, and V.Moses with Iwobi behind them. That would be very electrifying. Especially if V.Moses decides to pass to teammates that day, it'll be a very fast paced and productive attack

I watched the game , Uzoho is something else saves and ball distribution. As for him conceding those goal the first was a controversial penalty. Which anyone could concede . The 2nd goal was also seen as an offside by the Deportivo defenders and left Uzoho one on one with the player that kayode headed to ball to.

I fear for Uzoho. Deportivo are in a relegation scrap and the fans will look for scapegoats. That is normal. The young player is an easy scapegoat.

I saw some criticism of his performance from some Depor fans that did not make sense to me as He was not at fault for any goal. I understand the frustration though.

He missed one cross early in the game. That is the only mistake, i remember.
