I'm actually considering making this matter also known to people who do not use the internet in Nigeria, and that includes, publishing it in the newspapers media. Please, i will appreciate suggestions of the appropriate newspaper companies. Anyone, please?

I want to use this opportunity to thank all those who have stood behind me to encourage in the fighting of my case with the notorious UPS, and i wish to assure you that, though UPS would do anything shamefully in resistance, but i will fight it to the end and that nothing short of victory will i take out of this case. Thank you all!!!

Vicjustice, what became of this case?

I am going through a similar situation at the moment. I sent a package through UPS on 10/11/2016 from Atlanta on a one-week expedited delivery to Abuja and it got to Lagos on 15/11/2016 quite okay. But that's when the drama started. The lazy and corrupt duo of UPS staff in collusion with the Customs held on to the package for another 16days. On 11/30/2016, it was delivered to their Abuja office but the stupid lady there has yet to release it. Her reason being that the invoice for the Custom Duty did not accompany the package from Lagos....The drama is still ongoing

Thanks guys for your interest and support in this matter.
After 8 years of prolonged battle with UPS, today, the case has finally come to an end.
The judge in a Benin high court ruled in my favour and the courier giant has been ordered to pay a compensation: however, the amount is not what i was expecting.
The good thing is that i was able to cause their knee to buckle: had it been that people have the habit of bringing law-suits against giant entities including Police, there would have been less corruption in Nigeria.
Please, ladies and gentlemen, follow suit and form a habit of legally challenging those giants who violate you: stop that lazy mindset of leaving "everything to God" and learn to fight for your right if you can, just fight as hard as you can and leave the rest.

Except the compensation is too little for them to bother, you should be expecting an appeal.

The amount is actually in 7 figures, we actually sued for N20m but offered a significantly reduced compensation.
Understand that I lost about €3000 (three thousand Euros) on air tickets as a result of Ups' negligence and other legal costs through the process of pursuing justice: ups had the chance to settle out of court, but they chose to lie in defence of their negligence.
I doubt they want to appeal because, their barristers are obviously glad to see it come to an end.
To be honest, I am the one considering appealing the quantum because, I expected to get more compensation than what is being offered: either way, I'm glad to have the victory. Alway sue and sue until corruption is down.

UPDATE!

UPS did appeal the High Court's Decision, and the Appeal Court upholds the initial rulings, and the money has now been paid in full.
My legal team did a fantastic job which resulted in a resounding victory.

For this victory of yours, I will be taking 2 bottles of Heineken this afternoon!

Hopefully, we all learn to always take strong actions against corruption.

Congratulations!
