gypsey: There are no differences between the western European countries and Great Britain(none are saint or benevolent). The UK was just more successful in spreading their global dominance, that is why Europe would rather the UK remain in the EU. 1 Like |

NickD: EU is not a country, it is an organization with an "exit" clause. Same cannot be said of real countries who usually don't have an exit clause. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Exclusive32: You have forgotten that Trump is "America First", he has no real interest in world affairs safe for one that can bolster his image. Moreover, I don't think has the power to unilaterally recognize a country. The executive is the weakest of the US 3 arms of government. 1 Like 1 Share |

There is no doubt about the fact that the actions of the Catalan separatists who declared independence amounted to political brigandage. First, the separatists breached the Spanish constitution by organizing a regional referendum despite the fact that under the Spanish constitution only the Spanish government can call a referendum of any kind. Second, in the so-called referendum which the Catalan separatists organised only around 48% of people who lived in Catalonia actually participated in it since most people stayed away because there was a court order that forbade the referendum. Furthermore, the Catalan separatists grossly erred by using the outcome of that illegitimate exercise as a basis for declaring independence. From clear indications, the so-called catalonia independence is going to be short-lived because apart from the fact that the US and the EU are not going to recognize Catalonia as a country, the Spanish government has stated it's going to suspend the autonomy of the region of Catalonia and dissolve its government while the Catalan separatists who participated in the illegal declaration of independence will be charged for sedition. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Bolustical: California are also agitating to leave American. California is the richest state/ region in America, Catalonia is also richest region in Spain. Biafra is also the richest region in nigeria. America do not want California to agitate more, that's why they announced they won't support Catalonia. But independence is the most important thing. Gradually nations will accept the new country, many will agree to do business with them, many will refuse, but at the end of the day they will be accepted by all. EU, Uk n Us stand on the matter is not surprising. EU, UK n US also didn't support the Kurds referendum. Do the math. 2 Likes |

When the US and UK said they do not recognize IPOB as a terror group, they were castigated as agents of terror and balkanization by people here. When the UK say they do not recognize Catalonia as having the unilateral power to declare independence, they are cast as bastions of great ideals by the same people here. Are these contrasting arguments by the same people not evidence of cognitive dissonance? Hahahaha. 1 Like |

It is always difficult for national governments to recognise separatist groups in other countries, for the simple fact that that emboldens latent separatist sentiments within their own territories. After all, as its own dissidents would say, if their govt can recognise THAT foreign separatist group's right to self-determination, WHY can't it do the same at home? So this is why it would be quite difficult for Biafra to gain significant backing from external actors or foreign powers. No government wants to preside over the dismantlement of its territory. The truth is that there is a hardly any nation on earth that is without some element of separatist sentiment brewing somewhere in its superstructure, including ethnically homogeneous nations. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

UK are parasites, they got nothing to offer, we Biafra,s wouldn't be allies with uk,as a matter of fact Catalonia's can exist without UK, all the countries that was colonised by France have free visa to France, the UK collect crude oil worth billion,s from Nigeria every year, just because they gave the Hausa Fulani power,we biafra,n,s say no to one Nigeria, and no mortal man can stop Biafra. 1 Like |
