Why Should I Buy "Made In Aba" When I Can Always Enjoy Imported Wears? by Alariiwo: 4:26pm On Nov 09, 2017 |
As we all know, that particular group of people don't wish other tribes well. All they know is themselves alone. So the big question is.. Why should I patronize them when they don't have any factories in my region or contribute immensely to the IGR of my zone. I believe in quality so I'll stick to my UK, France, Italian etc. wears. Nobody should come and preach any nonsense here. They want their country, so also will I get mine. So definitely, we'll not have anything in common again. Thanks. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I love my tribe for one thing, we value quality and we shop a lot from Dubai, UK and the likes. They brought okrika to West but we are more sophisticated than that. We are neat and fresh by nature. 1 Like 1 Share |

Alariiwo: first of all am not from south east, secondly I don't do tribal bigotry, stop hating people because they don't belong to your tribe, they are not the cause of your problem. Direct your queries to the likes of tinubu who has looted all ur treasury. once again, the average aba man is not your problem, he is hustling to feed his family . 5 Likes 1 Share |

Alariiwo: Why do you guy like going back and forth. We have been on this matter all day to the point the thread was deleted. Ans, if the opportunities in Aba becomes far and few in between, we will relocate to Lagos. Surely, business can't be that bad in our collective hegemony with the number of people there. And if you won't buy from an Aba man, we won't buy from a Ijebu man! Simple. |

Efewestern: One of their Senators lamented recently about Nigerians not buying made in Aba goods. This was after their son Nnamdi Kanu went around insulting everyone, calling Nigeria a zoo, misbehaving with his Ipob followers. This prompted my question, so next time, ignore if you have no business on the thread. cheers! 2 Likes |

Alariiwo: No need to import. Support your own people in Ibadan, Ondo, Lagos etc. Yoruba business people are all about quality. Yoruba Keexs Lagos native Jide Ipaye uses slick kicks as a canvas for his art. Re: Why Should I Buy "Made In Aba" When I Can Always Enjoy Imported Wears? by Alariiwo: 4:58pm On Nov 09, 2017 |
kn23h: Abi o.. They don't carry them around like before again. Yorubas no longer paronize them. Now what most Yorubas do is to look for Yoruba owned shops or those they know bring in wears from abroad. It's better to buy quality that will last not junks that will pack up in weeks of usage. 1 Like |

Yoruba shoe maker - support your own Atunde Shamsideen Olayinka did not set out to be shoemaker, despite his love for shoes. But along the line he learnt the trade and fell in love with it. Today he owns a shoe making outfit that specialises in making not just dress shoes, but school sandals, dress shoes, industrial safety shoes for construction and oil & gas companies; and combat/jungle boots & service shoes for the military and paramilitary institutions. His company is known as Yiko Deen Footwear, and their slogan is "Keep Nigeria Walking." His firm boasts of a capacity to make 1,000 pairs per day. The factory, which is located in the Surulere area of Lagos, makes footwear built to the best acceptable international standards. Just this year alone, the company has manufactured and supplied over 6,000 of pairs of shoes and boots to the Nigeria Police Force, and donated over 2,000 pairs of children school shoes to kids in different parts of Lagos. Yiko Deen Footwear designs were exhibited at the Micam shoe festival at Milan, in 2016 on the same platform as designs made by renowned brands like Gucci. By the time they returned, the firm had secured a deal to produce and deliver 1,000 pairs of safety boots, for oil companies in Serria Leone. https://www./yiko-deen-footwear-putting-nigerian-shoes-industry-global-festus www.nairaland.com/attachments/5800923_yikodeenblackboots_jpegcc5754601980ea4495ae08d610b0be65 www.nairaland.com/attachments/5800924_yikodeenboots_jpegc7d55f702ace4e6c2525005bafbecb58 3 Likes 1 Share |
