FaniDan: Mariam in the Bible, murmured against God's anointed one, hence she was punished. Can you say for sure that it is the same true God that anointed your Apostle Suleiman? How can a Clergyman be involved in a scandalous affair? No one accused Jesus Christ or his Apostles (imperfect humans like us) of any scandalous affair during their time. So please, reserve your comment for your likes who are blinded and believe everything the clergyman of today tells you. 1 Like |

royalty18:you are right. You wouldn't catch them advising us on any money yielding venture. Look at even the demonic agent called freez talking as if he can quote correctly a single verse in the bible let alone becoming a pastor. If it is easy raising a church and collecting tithe, many who rant on this forum would have become pastors. Convincing a single person to even become your member let alone getting him to pay tithe is an uphill task |

Here is my submission oh... Usually, with a law/rule comes a curse/punishment. So... If you paying ur tithe to the point where you feel if u dnt pay, you are punished or not blessed... You need to reevaluate urself. Show me a tither doing well, and I will show u plenty non-tithers doing equally as well. Also.. show me one wretched tither, and I will show u equally wretched non tithers. Bottom line.. GRACE is favour you did nothing to get. And what you did... Well, is just what you did for the sake of it. Just do good... Give joyfully, not because ur pastor or even the Bible says u shld. Just give because it's a good thing to do. Help whomever u can help joyfully. But then again... What do I know? I'm not a pastor 1 Like |

My only worry is the way and manner this freezing guy responded to Pastor Adeboye. We ought (no matter what) to have a sense of piety for our men of God regardless of what you see or hear. You were not there when they were called to that office. So lets take caution. |

The last I checked, being a Pastor is never and will never be a PROFESSION! Doctors, Journalists, etc are holding professional position by way of some academic or educational qualifications! So this statement by Pastor Suleman is a big disaster, honestly! This is not the response I have been waiting for. I am convinced, and since I was born, I have never paid tithe before, and I am not doing badly. All I do is give/offer according to how am blessed, and most usually more than just 10% of what I earn or make, and as proposed in my heart (just as the bible commands). From my findings, Tithe was an exercise that was carried under compulsion. It was a command and must be obeyed by the Children of Israel. On the other hand, Freewill giving/offering in Church services has never expected to be done out of compulsion or of necessity, because God loves a cheerful giver (II Cor. 9:7). This speaks to early Christians and so has to do with us, as we are no longer under the law (Rom. 6: 14). Romans 10:4 says: "Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.." If Christ is the end of the law, and Tithe was a law/command by God to people of Israel, then it means that His death on the Cross marked the end of all the laws, (Col. 2:14 - "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (the laws) that was against us (Christ's followers - Christians), which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross...", leaving behind LOVE which summarises the Laws in one Pack! "Love your neighbour as your love your self, and also, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and all your mind" - Mark 12:30, SHIKENA! I expected all these Pastors to come all out and open their bibles in response (as Daddy Freeze requested), where in Scriptures 'CHRISTIANS' were commanded to pay Tithes or show us any necessary inference, Apostles' doctrine and/or Biblical examples of or by the early days Christianity. The bible messages/lessons is never to be as 'according-to-what-one-Pastor-teaches' but should be according to Christians' individual findings, just like the bereans. When the bereans were taught scriptures, they go back home and do their own findings to confirm how true those things were, but in today's world, some people just take it as the Pastor says, true or false, facts or self-centred or self-interest Sermons. I am still waiting for one of these Pastors to come out and in defence with scriptural backings. This may also help to prove to me that they are truly MEN OF GOD! 2 Likes |

InsideOut247:/ There is nothing special about Adeboye. He will be food for termites just like everyone else. Heaven is very beautiful yet when Adeboye and co fall sick, they run to the hospital because they are scared of going to beautiful heaven. But they will mourn and grumble when denied common American visa. The same folks that distribute oil to cure their flock? SMH. One tribe of Israel (Levites) was dedicated to priesthood and serving God. God mandated the other tribes to pay tithe to support them since they have no holdings in land, farm or livestock. No Gentiles were asked to pay tithe under any circumstances. How Adeboye and co-scammers became Levites beats me! All they are saying is: Stop scamming poor and gullible folks. \\ 7 Likes 1 Share |

SayITnw:pastors are now employing people to write long epistle to confuse the zombies so as to continue tithes to spiritual Levite's in Africa. your long epistle didn't emphasize on Deuteronomy 14:22-29 but picked out the line where levite was mentioned. tithing to the levite was every 3-3 years. and tithing was never money and will never be money. your pastor will never be a levite since Jesus was from the tribe of Judah. all of you tithe, seeds and first fruits preachers in form of money, are going to hell #freethesheeple 3 Likes 1 Share |

uboma: Books appeal to their own private audience. If one can sell to a select group so can others also to its select group. Deal with it. Every book has its readers. To some its boring while to others its their life line. Suleiman as is evident has his fan base worldwide which is evident in his numerous trips and church programs in many countries on invite. And surely they also look out for his books. |

uboma: So until a book becomes a bestseller it means it cannot make a tidy sum? If I wrote a book and it is being sold for 500 naira a copy and I manage to sell just 100,000 copies, which is extremely minimal for someone like Suleiman that would amount to 50 million naira in proceeds. That to me is a tidy sum and he says he has written 52 so far so go ahead and multiply 50million naira by 52. That's over 2billion naira already. With those figures feel free to deceive yourself while still talking about best sellers when he never said any of them were best sellers. |

Any Pastor who demands,or accept tithes whose example is he following? Jesus Christ the pioneer of Christianity? NO. Fact remain that Jesus christ was not qualified or entitled to receive tithe. Reason he came from tribe of Judah for no mention in all the scripture that this tribe should receive tithe, other than tribe of Levi. Numbers chapter 18 verses 1to 32 emphasizes on verse 21. Jesus condemned in its totality the paying of tithe and those who cunningly accept it. Lets read what he said in Mathew chapter 23 verse 23 "Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you give the tenth of mint and and the dill and the cumin, but you have disregarded the weightier matters of the law. And tithes are based on agricultural produce when one wish to pay by money it should be 15 percent not 10 , Leviticus 27 verse 30,31. Tithe paying is unchristain, for Christ is end of the law which involved tithe/s Roman 10 verse 4 which reads For christ is the end of the law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness. 2 Likes |
