Good day everyone, please i need a good advice from those who based in South Africa or who has been there before.

I have a cousin brother who has been assisting me in my business for the past two years.
I wanted him to fellow in my line of business but he only desire to travel out.

To cut d long story short, all my efforts to secure him America visa proved abortive.

I hv a good friend in South Africa who is doing quite well, I discuss it with him and he is willing to help him settle down.

Am still afraid to send him to South Africa bcoz of all the bad things I hv heard about d country and their hostility towards Nigeria. but he already made up his mind to travel to South Africa.

So I really want to know what are his chances of succeeding there bcoz he is going for hustling.

I need a matured advice from those residing there or who has been there before.
Thanks in advance as u contribute towards helping a fellow nairalander.

South Africa is overrated but if he is going for work then he can live , mind you tell your brother to stay away from Nigerians there otherwise they will give him problem

Beautiful coutry,with basic amenities,at least things re working well,how ever get one or two certificate from there it helps u settle down to some extent,stay away from Nigerians i REPEAT STAY AWAY FROM NIGERIANS who have no purpose in life,if you find a Nigerian that is working or into legit busisness and u re sure its legit,then youre o.k,i hear pple say southies re wicked,yes some of them,but u will be surprised as to how much some of them will love and treat u Nice,am talking from experience,if not our brothers that destroyed the relationship we had wit southie,it use to be healthy beef,buh now not so healthy,hold ur pali always till u get permit,dont shout at the police or behave like a tout,smile and be polite,you will be surprised at thier coolness except the mad ones,and they re few,had one help me charge my phone at the airport sometimes back and even help push my luggage to a secure place,just behave brotherly.....u see some Nigerians shouting on the streets,banks,everywhere like mad goats,dont do that,follow your business and go home,make friends with educated southies who re cool....and dont be too flashy,mind ur waka with Nigerians oooo,they re your biggest threat,and when u start making it,look for better neighborhoods to live,easy on Night life.........enuf said

if u most boost ur chances of getting a job,u need to have southie certificate......some Nigerias re even transfered to southie to go work,mostly mtn n s.a airways just bcoz they re good,buh ryt now u need thier cert,ours no carry weight

ok,but can one go with a visitor's visa be able to get enrolled into their schools there?

Its a bit difficult for holders of visitors visa and medical visa to change status,buh never say never,if the school can push u through,they should accept....

I would advise you mind your business and engage in legit things only

to some exxtent,first u will convert ur Nigerian certificate at SAQA,they wont accept ur c ert until its bin converted to southie format,then u willuse the converted docs to look for admision,iwil advice u go send u know schools re admitting so u can finish up b4 ur visa lapses.

They give preference to South African citizens. The law states that 60% of the employer's employees must be South African citizens. Unemployment rate in south Africa is very high, and you cannot get any corporate job without a work permit. You can only get a work permit inside SA after you study.
Hustling jobs are done by Malawians and Zimbabweans who do them for peanuts. One of the reasons black South Africans want other blacks to leave.
If he has business skills or study any medical course or IT in any SA universities, he has a better chance to succeed.
He can do a legitimate business without a business permit provided he pays tax. Many of our Brothers does this.
Finally, he shouldn't come on a visitors visa. He cannot change his status inside SA. And above all, he should be prepare to live in the city not township, we don't want to hear story that touch. Beware of some Nigerians who are into drugs and internet fraud, the Police is their friend. Lol
