My fellow Nigerians pls check out Harare despite their bad economy, the place looks more beautiful than Abuja, despite their bad economy their citizens looks as if they are not suffering not to now talk of their economy being good. if care is not taking by our hopeless and greedy leaders Zimbabwe can come and be better than Nigeria in years to come. I know in years to come Nigerians will start running to Zimbabwe I can bet this with anybody. |

ivolt: Growing up when I traveled to Ghana for international students' convention in KUMASI at church of Pentecost headquarters, we(students) raised almost 500 million Cedi for a launching. But today, the value of their money is good internationally compared to Naira. Hope you know they have 1 billion and 1 trillion Zimbabwean dollar notes. Just read about their economy u go know say we still dey paradise small for naija. |

Sapiosexuality: Democracy is not the goal in and of itself. Good governance is the goal and whatever means it takes to achieve that, so be it. 4 Likes |

SmartyPants:Who then determines the limit of this good governance you speak of? And how is a coup good governance or a good thing simply because one demon was removed? |

Its about time. Thank God he saved himself the embarrassment of being impeached. The joy in Harare can only be likened to the celebrations that came with the news of the death of Abacha. |

Sapiosexuality: A. The people B. The coup itself is not an act of governance, whether good or bad. It is merely the means through which the people attempt to rectify bad governance. |

chloedogie: The value of ghana's current cedis is a product of gimmicks and not real economic growth. Nigeria can also decide to erase a Zero from our currency and 1$ will be equal to about #36. I understand that Mugabe destroyed Zimbabwe's economy but that is a different issue to that of Ghana. 3 Likes |

UBGG:That's why Africa is messed up. Everyone knows good can be arrived through many means. We all know many ways to arrive at good deeds. But agreeing to any system through which we want to arrive at it is the sovereignty of nations. Do we want a democracy or whatever works? |

Mugabe, in his first ten years of Presidency, was a very good President who had the interest of Zimbaweans at heart..... until he took on this Wicked Woman called Grace, his former Typist! History is replete with stories of STRONG MEN who got destroyed by the mere effenimity of a WOMAN. From President Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast, Samson, King David, King Solomom (all in the Bible), to former President Goodluck Jonathan, e.t.c. This is a lesson for Powerful men, be careful in keeping the counsel of your "Bedroom Appendage" (according to Prof. Soyinka) 1 Like

SmartyPants:So was it the people that carried out the coup or some group of evil military and party chiefs trying a new spec of evil? The people have nothing to do with this. Men of power did this and not the people. Secondly, assuming the people did, once the people sanction a coup in a democracy, it ceases to be a democracy. Democratic rights end once democracy ends. Their are other means through which good governance can be achieved. It is very hard to believe that the majority will support his sack through undemocratic means but they can't through Democratic means. |

ordinary Zimbabwe ousted their president.......what are we waiting for Nigerians.....our biggest problems are the politicians that have spent years in power......our problem is not dividing this country....our problems encircles the politicians.....we can oust dem out if we are united as Zimbabwe... |
Re: Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe Resigns After 37 Years by Daboomb: 6:25pm On Nov 21, 2017 |
SmartyPants: You are right! If it was not for the same military that we all condemn, Mugabe will stil be in power today. Its like a KNIFE, if can be used for GOOD (like cutting meat, Bread, e.t.c) and it can also be used for BAD (like killing someone). Left to me, if we can have "selfless Gentlemen" in our military, who will CLEANSE this augean stable of our notoriously corrupt and evil politician (the likes of Jerry Rawlings), Nigeria would be far better than it is today. Just imagine how the likes of Dino Melaye, Saraki and all those criminals in the NASS are behaving and taking ordinary Nigerians for a ride? |

saabright: Some of you don't understand the Zimbabwean situation, there is nothing to cheer about it, if same happens in Nigeria I won't support it, the coup was done by people against Mugabe's wife it wasn't done in Zimbabwean ppl interest. |
Re: Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe Resigns After 37 Years by Daboomb: 6:30pm On Nov 21, 2017 |
sanpipita: You are obviously a stark illiterate if you dont know that Nigeria depended on reciepts from crude Oil, to finance its expenses and when you have the price of that crude oil dropping from over $120/Barrel, to $18/Barrel in 2015 when Buhari too over office, coupled with the wastage/looting of the previous Govt who did not save a penny when the price was good but rather depleted the $63Billion that President OBJ left in our External Reserve, RECESSION was a natural and logical step to follow, unfortunately, Buahri was the new President saddled with the situation. Am not saying Buhari does not have his own faults (infact, l detest his Nepotism mostly) but to blame him for a recession he knows nothing about, shows the level of your ignorance and most people like you. 3 Likes |

Sapiosexuality: He didn't win and stay in power democratically for 37 years. Each election was not won fair and square and he didn't not rule democratically. Sacking his V.P. and selecting his wife to take over was not democratic. You reap what you sow...what is good for the goose is also good for the gander. He who live by the sword died by same and it's all good by me. |
