Why do we have government?

Do you know why Churches and other NGOs are exempt from paying Taxes to Government? It is because they are expected to use the money for public welfare. [/b]They are supposed to help government indirectly by helping the people around them. In other-words, they are expected to give back to the society by doing "good deeds" e.g Provide affordable schools, Medical facilities etc.
Question is, How have they been giving back to the society?
Organisations do CSR and still pay tax, i doubt the bold.

How many pastors are there in Nigeria? How many private jets are owned by churches?

You guys' confessions make it look like jets are Rav4, by the way you are blessing pastors indirectly and you don't know.

Keep talking like this and churches would soon start building airports for their private jets.

jona4real92:
Our Nigeria pastor are just key into collecting money n enriching themselves by buying private jet, building universities which the same church members can not afford etc

Op your village people are on top your matter. You didn't see your politicians it's the pastors, nonsense, did you forget any money at the church? There are also Pastors in Cameroon. You should be comparing Eto with JJ Okocha, Kanu and co but your bigotry will not let you have sense. The church marches on anyway. Nonsense. The people perpetrating that heinous crime against humanity belong to Muslim community, the imams and Alfas have not spoken up yet you didn't see it, you only jump up to attack the church

Over the last few weeks, there have been images, stories circulating online that some Africans are being auctioned online raging from $4000 in Libya, some have been killed while some have been brutally raped, sold twice and tortured but it very devastating, shocking and touching that in spite these stories circulating online, no Nigerian Pastors, Bishops, deacons, celebrities, etc have raised to speak against such nefarious act happening in Libya.

Can we conclude that our pastors are only good at collecting tithes?

Is that why they are busy attacking Daddyfreeze over tithe issues instead of focusing on the words of God which they are meant to preach?

Why can't our Nigerian Pastors channel their strength which they are using to attack Daddyfreeze to speak against the incessant killing of Nigerians in Libya?

Why can't they curse those people behind these nefarious act instead of cursing Daddyfreeze if they are not after tithe?

Why can't they use the money which they are collecting from the poor masses to pay for flights tickets of Nigerians in Libya to come back home just like Eto did to the cameroneans in Libya?

According to Vanguard newspaper, '' Eto paid the plane fare for the Cameronean migrants from Libya to Cameron'' But our Nigerian Pastors are here fighting for tithe with Daddyfreeze?

What about our Nigerian Politicians? Their own is very crystal clear that they are fighting for their pockets and not the interest of Nigerians but it very bad of them.

Nigerian celebrities are good at reacting to what do not concern them which are happening outside the country, let them learn from Chris Brown. I rest my case.

And you omit Nigerian imams and Muslim scholars.. Na wah for you

These people are pathetic, so many of them don't know how those churches are being runned. Anybody can become a pastor, they should go and become one if they think pastors are making much.

Nonsensical writeup!
Who told you they don't collect offering. They even call offering with different names. I don't know why people are attacking pastors these days. If they didn't want to give offering and tithe again one will beat them.
After all, Nigeria government is seeing that Nigerians are being held hostage in Libya.

Now it's Pastors responsibility to find solution for every misfortune in Nigeria...
FYI: All pastors and Christians, our number one priority here on earth is soul winning for Christ.

Inasmuch as the pastors could have helped, it's the primary responsibility of the government. Chanel your grievance to the government.

Maybe he's not a xtian?

Why should he not question these men who claim moral guardianship over others yet do nothing when things are happening that wrong?

They don't hold useless politicians to account, rather they take tithes from.

They even hold thanksgiving services for girls who do ashawo in Nigeria and abroad.

The Muslims are no better but we should call wrong when we see it so that we can correct it.
