Good evening mamas.

Porting from pregnancy thread.

please does anyone know a remedy for constipation? cos that's what I'm battling with now, and it hasn't been easy cos of my stitches.
they told me this at the hospital and it really worked for me, cook a huge pot of vegetable soup and make sure u eat a bowl of it daily, must not be with swallow. Also choose your meals wisely, you must not eat everything you're served, avoid meat, bread, strong swallow etc and eat fruits

@hunniesuzzie 2 months is long o and depressing, let her go back to get it checked again

Mamas abeg a friend of mine had VD and serious tear. It was stitched but warm water degenerated the stitches (or so she thought). On going back to the hospital they said there was no need to restitch, that it will heal. Please what can she do to manage her discomfort in the interim, shes about 2 months pp and still in pain

Sabi mamas please help, na my belle they cut so I don't have a clue

zaynie, alphahandmaiden, queensnow, jazzyjazz, giddyperson and all mamas who have experience with this
I suggest she goes to another hospital for a second opinion. I have seen a condition where they had to do an episiorraphy after 6months of VD. Hope she was at least given Antibiotics, analgesics and vitamin C?

I suggest the only thing you compliment now is formula.
Wait out for another 2months when baby will clock 6months to introduce other solids.
Though there are baby sitter supporter cereals For 4months + up.

Good evening mamas. Please I weaned my son since on Sunday and up until now, I've been feeling terrible pains. Though the pains has reduced a bit because I've been taking diclofenac since yesterday. One of my major concern about it now is that my breast is still as swollen and hard as a rock. Biko mamas that haveweaned their Lo's at any point in time should tell me when the swollen breast came down. Abi na only me waka for this kind thing?
Sorry about that,I see some mamas here talk about wrapping the breast with cabbage ... Sabi mamas come chook mouth for this matter o.

in that case, ors and zinc(10mg) would help. You give the ors after every loose stool.

Sorry for the pains, I think the swollen breast lasted about 4 days. I actually put a damp face towel in the freezer and placed in my bra. It really helped maybe you should try it.

Eehn mama, you see that fresh tempting bread you use to drink your beverages and those swallows ,reduce them wella.Incorporate a lot of veggies when you eat and drink enough water.
Thanks. I think bread is the culprit. I was eating a lot of fruits before, then my baby started stooling after each feed so i started eating bread to see if the stooling will stop and that's when constipation hit. Will resume my fruits eating tomorrow.

Thanks a lot mamas for the swift response y'all gave yesterday
My Dh is fine now.though he said the pain from the sting is outta this world, he was given an injection @ d clinic
Pls let's all be extra extra vigilant this period, the weather is really hot hence reptiles are looking for cool places especially homes

This is the 2nd scorpion we are killing in our room this week, you can imagine! My compound is floored and no bush in sight, so its not about im leaving in a very neat environment though I learnt scorpions thrive in rocky areas
I just can't thank God enough that it wasn't my daughter it stung, the scorpion would have hid while my baby would have cried her eyes out not knowing what exactly is wrong with her

Pls let's try and fumigate our homes this period at least before our kids vacate because of the smell.
Get snipper or any good one and sprinkle on areas where children cannot access. Let's get rid of any hidden reptile
May we not mourn over any of our loved ones as the year gradually comes to an end IJN Amen!

Lol, I don't think my baby's nose has been dry for up to 10 days straight since he started crawling. We take vitamin C every day now and steam every 3 days. Mentholatum on his body everyday, nasal drops for when his nose is blocked. I've accepted it as dividend of development grin

Yawning one I don't know oh, does she yawn like that when she doesn't go to creche on weekends?

Akorkor:
Mama Biko help me ooo.... I don’t want to go to hospital because my pediatrician always see me as to curious human being grin. My baby has been having this catarrh that will be going and coming. Although I usually have catarrh too because it’s once in a while that my nose goes completely dry. Secondly, the way she’s yawning nowadays is alarming. For example I picked her up from crèche dis evening, although the aunty told me that she just woke up but she yawned up to three times before we got home. Please has anyone experienced this. Is it a growth spurt or what? And what can I use to clear the nose once. Just bought another nasal drop sef. She’s fine o but na me dey justdey worry up and down.

My sister, I went oo ooo on my 6weeks check up. I weighed 84kg. Doctor had reservations about my using any other method apart from Condom because of my weight ooo. That I may have issues.

What kind of story is he giving to you
Does he mean overweight people don't do family planning? Please go elsewhere
I weighed more than 85kg when I had my IUD inserted!
There are other options to consider: cervix size, if you have potentials of putting weight etc esp if they want to give you hormonals like implanon. Again, hormonals on its own won't make you fat; it only increases your appetite and if you can discipline yourself, you will be fine.

Telling you to use condom only is absolutely incorrect! Also remember not all doctors are skilled to do family planning. He's your ob'gyn or took your delivery does not mean he can do family planning. Go to a health centre or general hospital, they have special family planning clinics that will educate you and give you the best option.

Please go to a primary health centre for better advice. IUDs are non hormonal and can be used.
