There's nothing bad about you and the lady networking, you could meet up and chat over coffee or even become travelling buddies.
Better to chat with her via pm,she was quite bold and it was refreshing to see.

Lol, I can relate, I once had a German shepard too, when I just bought her, she would be barking at my neighbour from afar, even when they are just looking at her from upstairs, but when they come close to her, low and behold, zara runs to the back of her cage.

But she later changed to stand and face strangers when she grew up.

I guess the dog would get used to you, if he/she start seeing your face frequently.
