To benefit from the THC and CBD (i.e. cannabidiol) in marijuana, the plant has to be processed into oils and supplements, in order to extract the THC or CBD. Smoking or sniffing marijuana will not deposit the THC or CBD in a usable form, in the smoker. While THC is psychoactive, CBD is not.

Marijuana, like most drugs (including our regular prescription drugs like ordinary paracetamol), is addictive. 9% of users are addicted. But alcohol (15% of users are addicted) and tobacco (35% of users are addicted) are more addictive. Even worse is that withdrawal symptoms with stopping marijuana use is far less severe that experienced with quitting the use of alcohol. An alcoholic has a far harder time trying to overcome his addiction that a marijuana user and the withdrawal symptoms for an alcoholic can be fatal. All these info are easy to find with real research rather than spewing virtue-signalling nonsense against marijuana like it is scientific fact.
