Let me classify the networks in my candid opinion. The ones I have used
(Affordability and Speed/ 4g)

Speed. Affordability
Swift. 95% 70% Swift
Mtn. 95% 90% Double Double
9mobile. 70% 50% Stingy
Glo. 50% 100%
Ntel 30% 60%

You are spot on with your assessment. Mtn and swift are at par with speed but when u remove the double double, mtn becomes very expensive.

Ntel gave me free one week subscription starting today but the speed is like sloth

I really envy those in Lagos right now. Swift seems to be making sense with some of their new plans. I don't understand why they've refused to expand to Abuja, even though they were there before Smile, ntel and, I think, Spectranet.

You should try everything possible to make it work before taking such drastic decision.

Try the following. First of all, find out Swift's apn, then input it manually. I'm suggesting this because '4G Only' networks such as Smile, ntel, Spectranet require a valid apn, if not, network wouldn't even come up at all.

Secondly, you may need to switch your phone's network mode to 4G Only or LTE Only as the case may be.

By the way, what phone do you use?

I did... everything that need to be done. The thing tire me. And Nokia 2 works for all 4g band in Nigeria. Don't know why swift own stubborn. The thing go show 4g and disappear.

But is the SIM working fine in the USB mifi? If not, it could be the SIM that is problematic. Try a known functioning Swift sim on your Nokia 2 in order to be sure.

You could also get a Huawei E5573s-606 mifi, or any other mifi that support band 40(2300). By the way, I just read on Swift's website that they actually support two LTE bands, so find out which other band that is.

I have tried to figure out their device connects to internet no luck.. not sure they use APN settings...

Did you confirm from their customer support if you can use on another device?
