all biase aside , this is the most problematic car ever made by honda. the gear transmission is its biggest flaw though its been fixed in recent models . the problem of ball joint pull is also there to consider and in some cases the power steering problem is one of notable mention. the first year of owning dis car was great , but afterwards it became a money milking machine. no pun intended

Honda products are better than Toyota products any day any time. The major reason why Nigerians prefer Toyota car is her ability to tolerate abuse and irregular maintenance which Honda doesn't want.

If Honda and Toyota are given regular and schedule maintenance, then Honda will definitely score higher in reliability, performance and longevity.

Sorry about ur pain bro. The later models like 2001/2002 didn't have this issue. Also was ur car bought as a direct tokumbo. I presently own 2 cars only and they function like a darling, a 2001 babyboy inclusive

Bought my first used W202, for 440k, did some fixes definitely, that bothered around servicing, patching a leaking roof and changing the plugs. I sold it a year and 6months later for 430k. The next one U didn't gamble with used and it's simply perfect. You can't go wrong.

I like the car but it inability of the gear to survive long travel is my problem with it. Not ball joint.

Used a Honda baby boy for about 11months, but to dispose it after the leg humiliated me along the road. Now flying with 1996 model of Camry (Orobo)

It was the year 1998, and it was going to be the best year ever for the auto industry, as the year was going to herald about the most reliable vehicle crafted by man. This phenomenon was mean't to hold sway for only half a decade, but little was it known that it was the creation of the indestructible. Honda was going to produce their best car yet before the turn of the millennium, and decades later would struggle to relive the same feat.

I got my Honda Baby Boy 2001model in 2010, and almost 8 years later, she runs gallantly. Not a single Engine fix, transmission change or AC repair. Unlike the constant ugly remarks of the Honda foot, this has stayed unshaken for almost 2 decades. If theres any ride which passes the reliability test 100% this would be it. Today I use 2 vehicles each made 1998 and 2001 respectively. While my favourite of all time would be the Mercedes C class W202, the Honda Baby Boy without sentiments remains one of the most reliable car ever made.
